just remembering how i was sosososoo hoping for transfem jax to be canon when i went to see it in theaters with my friends and the bow scene happened and i was almost jumping out of my seat like OH MY GOSH ITS TRUE YES ITS CONFIRMED !!! and i was so excited but then one of my friends looked over at me and was kind of confused why i got so excited and i like explained how shes trans but she was still confused and later said how everyone has their own theories and stuff and i love my friend so much and its nothing abt her directly but ive been hearing of this happening a lot like people’s minds are just glossing over context and character development cause they don’t want to see it or aren’t in the headspace to acknowledge it?? and idk i just got so excited for something that i saw as confirmed and then realized it meant nothing to most people

Even if obesity truly had a strong genetic component (I don’t think it does) and while type 2 diabetes does, I don’t get why fat acceptance sees this as natural and so inevitable/fine. My rheumatoid arthritis has a strong genetic factor and I’m so grateful I can mange that. I have a family history of high cholesterol that I’ve expressed, I take extra care to manage that best I can and it has significantly improved though it is still above normal.

I know obesity is viewed neutrally/positively on here but i don’t think that rhetoric really exists for T2D, at least I’ve never seen it. And yet I’ve seen resistance to restriction applied to advice on diabetes, fear of continuous glucose monitors, the complete dismissal of pre-diabetes/insulin resistance (unless used as an excuse for weight gain), etc.

Very odd.

Ya know I actually find it really funny when I’m attempting to make Moon in my rewrite (over on @starrytsamsrewrite) a horrible person and yet he SOMEHOW turns out to be better than Canon TSAMS Moon in some ways

I didn’t realize that Moon would’ve stooped so low to sell his brother over to a bunch of strangers who are assumed to hate Suns just to earn the chance to clear their name. And not even consult your brother on it or tell him???

No “Hey Sun, the Moon Haven wants me to give you to them for experiments, you cool with that?” or “Hey, you okay with being experimented on by people who may or may not hate your guts?”?

Meanwhile the Moon in my rewrite, I personally love him he’s such an awful person and fun to write, actually refused to use his Sun as a bargaining chip. I mean sure he attempted to kill his brother, abuses him horribly, blames stuff that is his fault on Sun, and made sure that man has no support system but he somehow didn’t do something that Moon in canon would stoop low enough to do
