I've just started working on a new project - one that I put on a shelf for a long time. It's going to feature my all-star cast (Domerin, Rose, Silkfoot, Cazella and even Phage - people I post about on here constantly)!

I've just started working on a new project - one that I put on a shelf for a long time. It's going to feature my all-star cast (Domerin, Rose, Silkfoot, Cazella and even Phage - people I post about on here constantly)!
Writing Goals for March 4th - 8th:
-Write Chapters 39 and 40 of Soul of the Sun (3 scenes total) -Work on outlining Once Upon a Dream (I'm into setting details now) -Write 1 Writing Prompt Response -Write, Edit and Schedule 1 Blog Post -Work on updating my website (which is woefully out of date)
#Inktober Day 23: Sesha. Another of Domerin's boyfriends (probably the last one I'll draw). He sometimes appears in prompts on my blog while he waits for Domerin's novels to be written. Read more about him here!
Back when I started the Seven Deadly Sins project, I joked that there were probably enough off-shoots of Domerin that I could write a prompt for each sin featuring him. It’s taken some time but I have, indeed, found a Domerin for every sin.
The last sin was Pride. (The first one was Wrath, which can be found here.) Today we’re delving into Envy, which is the realm of Assassin Domerin. This sin gave me a lot of trouble. It’s a huge part of Assassin Domerin’s life. To the point where just about any scene could clip it. But I wanted to depict how deeply envy runs in his veins without resorting to a simple conversation between himself and a random confidant. Then I recalled a scene I had always meant to write but never got around to, and everything clicked into place. . . .
The Assassin’s Guild’s newest master leaned heavily on the railing of his balcony and wished fervently that it would rain. Not a soft gentle drizzle, nor a sustained night of gloom, but the kind of hard, driving rain that stung the skin with each drop that fell.
It would hardly have ruined the view; a city this size was alive at all hours, rain or shine. Even in the heart of winter, when snow coated the streets and sidewalks, there were those who forged ahead, unwilling to pause for a moment and yield to the weather. Of course, from this high up, the city’s inhabitants looked like tiny ants moving through neon-lit channels, occasionally caught in the bright illumination of a car’s headlights, and often cast in shadow when they moved to the edge of the street lamps.
But Domerin Lorcasf was used to viewing the city like this; from above, from the lofty heights roofs and niches tucked into the construction of the city’s skyscrapers. And even here, on the street the guild’s primary presence resided, no one ever thought to look up. Which meant that secrets only ever flowed one direction. Not that any of them were likely to stick in his head today. That’s why he wasn’t out on the roof tops, watching illicit lovers as they giggled with giddy relief to have gotten away with their scam.
That, and the fact that he was skunk-drunk and hadn’t slept in two days. A hazy head and swinging between rooftops didn’t mix very well. Keep Reading. As always tagging: @merigreenleaf, @dreameronthewind and @ilioneus If you’d like to be tagged when I post these, please let me know!
#Inktober Day 8: Robin. Domerin's oldest daughter. Like Dormal, she'll eventually appear in Domerin's novels. But for now, she sometimes appears in prompts on my blog.
Read more about her here!
52 Week 6 Word Story Challenge - Week 27; Object “Write a six word story from the point of view of an object.” Domerin: I take life to preserve life. (Domerin's swords)
ABC Character Tag
I was tagged by @byjillianmaria - I’m so sorry it took me so long to get to this one T.T I promise to do it again next week to make up for it! I decided to give the first round to Domerin because otherwise he’ll pout :p A is for Age: When he's an elf, usually somewhere in the 300 hundreds. When he's human, somewhere between 35 and 42. B is for Biggest Fear: That he will hurt an innocent or through inaction or failure cause an innocent to be hurt or killed. C is for Current Time: I'm not really sure what to answer here since Domerin exists in so many places in my head XD D is for Drink Last Had: Depending on the time of day; coffee, beer or whisky. E is for Everyday Starts With: A run. Usually in the dark before the sun rises. (usually followed by coffee if it's available) F is for Favorite Song: Paschendale by Iron Maiden G is for Ghosts, Are They Real?: Domerin will tell you no even though he's seen and interacted with them (he's that kind of stubborn). H is for Hometown: I haven't given it an official elven name yet, but it translates to "Mistborn Forest." I is for In Love With: Depending on the world either Crescent, Sesha, Elian, or Seibel (or some combination of the four; sometimes he ends up with more than one ^^;; ) (There's also Kail, but we don't count him because that always ends badly.) J is for Jealous Of: Domerin isn't really the jealous type. K is for Killed Someone: Too many, and he feels every one. L is for Last Time They Cried: I've talked about this a few times before, but Domerin doesn't cry ^^;; he just bottles up all his emotions until something happens that doesn't allow him to ignore them anymore, which always works out *so well.* M is for Middle Name: He doesn't actually have one XD N is for Number of Siblings: None - his mother almost died in childbirth so he ended up an only child. O is for One Wish: It would be to end war and violence and have a peaceful world where everyone got along or at least solved their problems in a civilized, non-violent fashion (nothing heavy or complex or anything >.> ) P is for Person Last Called/Texted: Probably either Crescent or his mother. Q is for Questions They’re Always Asked: "When are you going to stop smoking/drinking." Answer: never. (Though there was that one time Robin convinced him to give up real cigarettes for esigs.) R is for Reasons to Smile: Crescent, Sesha, Elian, Seibel and his kids (Robin, Dormal, Silverbell and Valerian). S is for Song Last Sang: Domerin doesn't sing and assures me that we're all better off that way. T is for Time They Wake Up: On average 5 AM - Domerin doesn't actually sleep much so sometimes he's up before that. Every now and then he'll sleep for like 12 hours, in which case he gets up when he gets up ^^;; U is for Underwear Color: Whatever color is in the package he grabbed off the shelf that time. V is for Vacation Destination: Anywhere and everywhere - Domerin loves to travel. W is for Worst Habit: Oh geeze XD Smoking, drinking, bottling up his emotions rather than dealing with them, sometimes being a functioning alcholic and often speaking without thinking about people's feelings (which makes him look like a bigger jerk than he actually is). X is for X-Rays; Ever Broken a Bone?: Oh so many XD Y is for Youth: What Was it Like?: Domerin was born into a noble family, but he wasn't spoiled. His father was pretty strict so he had a long line of stern tutors. And since his father wanted him trained for military service eventually, he spent a lot of time learning about tactics and combat - his training with a sword started pretty much as soon as he could hold one. But he and his father never got along. Domerin wasn't a little clone of his father like his father hoped he would be and it caused them to clash quite a bit. But his relationship with his mother was always good and they've always been close. Z is for Zealous: What Are You Passionate About?: Usually his work (which is usually some kind of soldier/knight/protector) If you’ve done it already you should do it again with another character because I love seeing these come across my dash :)
52 Week 6 Word Story Challenge - Week 22; Numbers “Write a six word story that begins and ends with the same number.” Domerin: Twin swords slash. Blood spatters both.
