It’s been forever since we’ve done a Shooter of any kind and this definitely reminded us of why we stopped in the first place 🙈
Forevermore in pursuit of Eventide Oyster Co.’s Lobster Puff
Having been cooped up for far too long in our tiny BK studio apartment, we shellfishly (ba dum, tssss) decided it was time for a road trip up the coast to Portland, Maine. It was a blissful 5 day away from the city and I now have dreams of the Lobster Puff from Eventide Oyster Co. Day 1 | November 4th
The drive up from NYC to Portland only took about 5 hours but felt forever after a full work day
Day 2 | 5th
Explored Old Port area (found boba milk tea at Uncharted, looked through some old records at The Merchant Co., checked out Sea Bags that makes bags out of old sails, walked through Longfellow Books)
Grabbed drinks at the Portland Hunt & Alpine Club
Had dinner at Fore Street
Day 3 | 6th
WFH at the Airbnb
Dinner at Scales
Day 4 | 7th
Went back to Uncharted for more milk tea
Drove through Fort Williams Park and saw the Portland Head Light
Checked out two Bite Into Maine’s back-to-back; the one at the park was much better, in my opinion
Killed time over drinks at Sebago Brewing Company at a Hampton Inn because we didn’t get to Eventide Oyster Co. early enough for a walk-in dinner
Stayed close to midnight at Eventide and had so, so, SO much food; ordered an extra order of their Lobster Puff for our drive back the next day
Day 5 | 8th
Checked out Harbor Fish Market for some fresh seafood to cook back in NYC
Had an early lunch at the OG Luke’s Lobster
Drove back home wishing we had buffered more time to stop by kitschy landmarks along the way
We did a thing and moved to NYC.
A few of my fave Denver street art from over the wknd.
One of my favorite moments from our Portland, OR trip earlier this year was stopping by the LAIKA Studios (unannounced, of course - they don’t do official tours of their studio). If any Laika superfan happens to be in San Diego this wknd, the studios is doing a pop up event at 520 Fifth Avenue between 7/14 to 7/23. More deets and official hours can be found on their site: http://laika.com/
22 more days till I’m back in Denver :)
Some friendly puppers we met whilst in Portland.
