Okay, so, I wrote the very first encounter for the villain and he's such an asshole but I love him. My players will either hate him to death, or love him forever.

His very first words to the party are "Found it? ;)" in a note and later the first conversation they will have in person is him stealing the artefact they're supposed to get, then calls them how they will be called when they succeed with their quest and then he corrects himself and later insults the party.

"Finally, I'm meeting the famous Guardians in person. Though, wait. You're not famous yet. And you're not even called Guardians yet. That's a terrible name by the way. Doesn't fit you at all. You know, because you just failed in protecting the only thing you were supposed to guard. Disgraceful, isn't it?"
