He wasn’t stupid, it’s just that studying didn’t come as naturally to him as boxing did. Travis was good on the ring. In fact, he was more than just good - he was amazing. Had a natural talent for it, his coach said. It only started mattering to the boy when he figured out boxing could be his one-way ticket out of poverty and a lackluster life.

It was all very inspiring - people loved rags to riches story, everyone wanted to root for an underdog. The media ate it up - a handsome Dominant boy from the bad corner of Port Cado making a name for himself? The story practically sold itself.

He won some, lost some, waiting for his big break, an opportunity to really get his foot in the door and it came. A match with an ex-champion defending their title - an easy win! It was a lot of money. More than Travis had seen in his life. So why not? He figured, why not give in this once. It would be easy and pretty understandable - no one would bat an eyelash. So he laid down, let himself get beaten and lost on purpose.

Vincent King himself began to take an interest in the teenager, especially after realizing just how smart Moonjo was.

The King Family sponsored his education and purposely began distancing Moonjo from work that could get his hands dirty. He became a criminal defense attorney and learned everything he could about how to use the law to the Obsidian Syndicate’s advantage. Now, at 38, he is the top advisor to the King family and is known to be second-in-command of the Obsidian Syndicate.

Don’t let his background check fool you, however; Moonjo didn’t become second-in-command simply because he’s intelligent. He can be extremely cold and calculating, even downright cruel when it comes to getting ahead. He is no stranger to blood and getting his hands dirty when the time calls for it - and you absolutely do not want Moonjo to be the one to hunt you down.

Disappointment or not, his parents did pay for him to attend University. They didn’t even balk when he majored in Art and Art History. Probably because his older brother was already in Law School and his father had just been elected to city council. They didn’t have time to worry about what Eli was doing. Or not doing.  But they did attend his graduation. They celebrated when he acquired a job at an upscale gallery in Clement Hill.  They didn’t blink an eye when he moved out and used part of his trust fund to buy a loft. His father was running for re-election then and as long as he didn’t cause any scandals, well, he could do as he wished.

Kian had always been responsible. He was studious and smart, always fascinated with how the world worked.  He always did well in school and had no problem making friends. A long-time resident of Morrell Point, Osbourne “Oz” Sullivan is the owner of two clubs. Fifteen years ago a rival hired an assassin to execute his claim and their two young children. Five years he drowned in his grief, until he found out something truly shocking. His claim had died but his children lived. He searched but unfortunately, every promising lead was a dead end road. No one had seen or heard from his beloved children since that day. All he could hope now was that they sought him out. It was a long shot but it was all he had.

In the meantime, Oz had taken in a passel of what his closest friend referred to as his “Strays”. Young people with terrible, absent or uninvolved families, these Strays became Oz’s only expression of genuine affection. He watched out for them, provided them the resources to pursue their passions and checked up on them. He could be overbearing but there is no doubt that a man most regard as icy genuinely cared for his motley collection of Strays.

Aside from his Strays and his few friends, Oz has only one other weak point - his kept lover. The relationship is discreet but Oz hates to be out peddling his wares. He keeps them well. Alexander’s parents saw something special in him from a young age. Many parents say that of course, but in this case Alex’s parents really did see something. Eventually Alex was able to meet his goal of becoming a top trauma surgeon at Port Cado Memorial Hospital. Some days were difficult, but he loved what he got to do and didn’t regret a second of the work he put into it. As patients came and went, he began to see a need for a fairer health system. For the most part everyone had access to medical care, but the rich definitely had access to treatments and comforts that the poor could only dream of seeing. Health equity is what led Alexander to open a clinic in Morrell Point. The clinic was donation based, which many told him would fail immediately. He didn’t see it that way. He believed that there would be others that would believe in the mission of the clinic and would help keep it going. He also thought that when the community saw that he would treat everyone equally, regardless of if they were in a guild or the Obsidian Syndicate, they would learn to trust him and the clinic. When he wasn’t working at the hospital or getting a little rest, he was devoted to working at the clinic and seeing the patients that flocked there. Years later and the clinic is still going strong, and is something he sees as one of his biggest achievements.

Alex originally had no interest in becoming the leader of the Medical Guild. He was more than happy to continue focusing on his work and never considered himself the type of person to get involved with politics. He was persuaded to take the position when he realized that he could help the city even more from a position of power. He vowed to do good as the leader of the guild, and has done his best to make a difference since taking the role. He makes time to meet with members of the guild when they need him and keeps his clinic open not only to patients, but to incoming medical professionals that need the experience and want to help.

While most children his age were out and about playing pranks and causing trouble, Sebastian spent his time reading and learning new languages and new things, playing sports and realizing at an early age that to be successful in life he had to learn how to use all of his best treats to his advantage.

He prided himself on the fact that he sometimes knew more things than his teachers, and he could always outwit his peers in any debates and since he was very young he took a liking for his father’s job as a lawyer and started on looking into light readings about the matter, accompanying his father to work whenever he was allowed to and always paying attention to the things his father said and every detail of the meetings he held with his clients or colleagues.

Being tall, good looking, well-educated and charming when he wanted, didn’t hurt either. People would think twice before crossing Sebastian, not that people would ever want to.

Once he was fifteen years old and always having had older friends he started getting a little reckless, sneaking into bars and going out to the parties his friends invited him to, but he never let himself be negligent of his studies and even though his parents didn’t agree much with his choices, they never stopped him from doing what he liked, as long as he always kept his grades intact and continued on attending whatever extracurricular activity he was signed up for at the time. It was at age sixteen that he first got off with another man a bit older than him and in the corner of a crowded bar, and his sex life ever since has been active and, even though it sometimes got confusing, he has always trusted his gut when it came to his sexuality and never thought of the fact that he sometimes liked girls and sometimes boys as something to be worried about, the only thing he did worry about was making sure the sex he had was always safe and good. To him that was all that really mattered.

At age seventeen his parents and he moved back to the States, where his father became a Senior Partner at an important Law firm in New York and Sebastian continued his studies in that city, still somehow pushing himself to continue doing at least one sport, learning one language, getting excellent grades and still having time to party.

In spite of his parents’ social standing and influence, Sebastian never tried to use that to his advantage, always holding his own and fighting his own battles. He graduated college and attended Law School where he graduated with honors and soon after that, he was offered a spot as a lawyer for an important firm in San Francisco where he moved at age 25, two years after graduating from Law School.

When it comes to people, he has always believed everyone who can make him laugh and is smart enough to catch his attention is worth a chance, he’s of course always cautious about people but never o the point of being paranoid, even though he does have a close and tight group of friends and some regular hook ups. With an approving nod when he saw the building and its location, he got out of the car the moment the door was opened for him, buttoned his suit’s jacket and waved in thanks before making his way inside with a staff member trailing behind him chattering about things Sebastian didn’t care about.

Once inside, he turned around and placed a finger to the girl’s lips, giving her a small smirk “I don’t care about the prices or whatever unimportant things you keep talking about, please make sure I get a bed with silk sheets and your best submissive at my service, only for half an hour.
