Boring. Everything about tonight was boring. Pickpocketing and petty theft were the highlights of her crimefighting tonight and now she was sat on the edge of a rooftop, picking out pieces of the granola bar that crumbled down between her utility belt and suit. “I guess no one told all the criminals that Batman was gonna be out of the city for a couple of days, cause I’m convinced they would be running riot if they had known.” She muttered now as she rested her chin on the yellow gloved hand.
Suddenly her belt began buzzing, making her bolt upright and fumble for the small computer device. She glanced at it and saw the map of Gotham zooming in on an area indicating there was a spike in the electric grid. “Good thing Batman doesn’t know I left a small backdoor in his system so I have access to his computer. But that kind of energy pull? Someone either pulled together a huge server farm or that’s some kind of energy reactor. Whatever it is, it’s the most exciting thing I have going for me this week.”
Batgirl took a few minutes to swing to the western edge of the city and make her entry through the rooftop access. As she made her way down, she was alerted to the fact the energy was spiking higher still and starting to cause blackouts in the vicinity.
‘I need to hurry this up.’ Batgirl thought to herself as she got closer to the source when suddenly there was a blast wave of energy. She felt nothing more than her hair standing on end like static electricity across her body but she was till a little unnerved.
‘Well the energy spike is gone at least...and I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna glow in the dark cause I’m not getting any radiation spikes. I still need to figure out what the hell happened though.’ Batgirl pondered before carefully making her way into the main room.
She couldn’t contain the gasp from her mouth as she saw the figure before her. “You’re...!?” Batgirl exclaimed.
