DTM: Hawaii
A business trip and first ~for fun~ solo trip full of lovely dates with myself. Some places I sought out, others I stumbled upon. (Left to right)
- Domo Cafe is a popular little place across from the Hawai’i Convention Center. Bubble tea and poke bowls.
- Minori Craft Japanese Tavern is just around the corner from the convention center. Sat at their bar to enjoy a $10 bento box on my lunch break.
-Walked to Chinatown and ended up at Little Village Noodle House. I think these are their steamed sweet buns, not too sweet but a perfect dessert that paired with the lo mein I got.
-Waikiki has a Japanese food hall, Waikiki Yokocho, with 13 different restaurants. The first time I went I got ramen from Ramen Ono-Ya. They had a community table where I scarfed down noodles with strangers. The second time I wen I got matcha ice cream from Nana’s Green Tea.
-Popped into Kai Coffee while I waited for the bus. Delicious croissants and pretty presentation.
-After getting my ass kicked at Koko Head, I tried malasadas from Leonard’s Bakery. Just fried dough balls with sugar. What’s better than that?!
-Went to another food hall in Waikiki. The Street had a variety of foods so I took a few laps and settled on The Street Taco Trio from Mi Almita Taqueria.
-Poke bowl from Foodland. A MUST.
-I’m a sucker for creme brulee and got this from Heavenly Island Lifestyle along with their Organic Veggie & Beans Loco Moco.
