“my brother and i can do something similar,” don scratches the back of his head and makes a face kind of like he just bit into a lemon, “kind of.” kind of not really. him and hank's powers actually work quite differently, except for how they work together. but it feels bad to backpedal on that now.

we've already written a bit with these two together and i love the dynamic that has already started to develop there. lois is very strong-willed and intense, neither of which are words that i would use to describe don who is someone that wants to be strong-willed but struggles greatly to be. lois' prodding questions are going to be something that frustrates don because he has such a sure view of what he wants / who he wants to be but doesn't know how to get there and isn't sure of himself so her questioning is going to flare up all his insecurities. but it's also going to be something so important for him to help become who he wants to be, and to figure out who that is. i'd like to think also that over time don could convince lois of his view, if not in her believing that he's overall correct, but that his viewpoint has a purpose and can be successful for him. (also -- lois figuring out don't identity and realizing he's just 17, 18, 19? and what that might mean)

so i should be working, but i did go ahead and update my info for don to be a little more up-to-date with the information i've been collecting from my reread-through of all his appearances!

don does not have that many appearances and after his death in 1986, every single one of his appearances has been in the form of a flashback to when he was alive, as a spirit/apparition, or in a dream sequence, making the timeline of where he falls into the dc universe quite tricky to place. hank & don are known associates of the teen titans, and yet only appear in half a dozen actual issues of the teen titans (shown to be members at times of either the teen titans or the teen titans west—despite not living on the west coast) and retroactively shown to be more involved members usually only through flashback after don's death. i have currently re-read everything up to new-52 for this portrayal, and will continue updating his timeline to include his return to life via the dark nights: death metal arc when i get there. i've done my best to consolidate everything that we do know into one concrete timeline that should mostly make sense with the wider dc timeline.
