Sticks and Stones break bones, but Words do so much more.
In order for women to build themselves up we all need to stop tearing each other down.
No, by no means am I saying lets all form one gigantic circle and hold hands and sing “Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera (not going to lie though, that sounds a little fun…I mean funny, funny, yeah…). What I am saying though is next time you see that girl walk by who has shorts on and has legs that are larger than a size 2 don’t criticize her and say she is fat or people like that should just never wear shorts.
No, next time stop and think.
Remember those days when you look in the mirror and think everything about you is all wrong.
Remember that time you were at mall and you put on those jeans you thought was your size but you couldn’t get them past your thighs and how shitty you felt.
Remember that time in middle school when the mean girl told you that you were ugly, and how you wanted to just crawl into a ball and cry.
Remember that time that you were that girl, who put on her shorts or shirt that showed off a part of her body she didn’t like. And remember how brave you felt for doing that until you walked by those snarky girls and you just knew they were talking about you.
Remember how that felt, and think twice. Maybe even go up to that girl and give her a compliment, build her up and don’t tear her town.
