But, then again, people are way too sensitive these days and don't want you to be comforted by things that you can share with characters you like, because it's "not. canon." When in actuality, canon is not even canon. It's a paradox of itself. Anyone can think up the same story and make it different by adding or changing things. Was Maleficent a Fairy? Not at first, but no one was whining when she became one. People (including characters) are adaptive. We grow and we change. If you believe in multiple universes, there are millions of versions of you and the media that is created to amuse you!!
So, your opinion broke me, but I'm made out of rubber and don't personally feel attacked by the possibility that The Phantom is Autistic. No one will ever know what that character was really like, because he's dead and possibly not even real in the first place, so have a good day.
