I'm going to say a sphinx. Kind of adorkable when you think about all those different animal parts walking (in the cutest possible way!) mostly cat, good with language and riddles and poems. Though the werewolf one was good too!!

god, I am so fluffy right now. i have been saying I need a haircut for over a month. at its flattest it’s in the nineties teen movie boy range. add humidity and i appear to have a small dog on my head. in conclusion, yes, good. im a fluff.

1. If you’re employed, do you like your job? If you’re not and you want to be, what are you looking for?

I am not. What I’m looking for is basically anything that isn’t going to make me have a panic attack and/or fall over, because unemployment is Balls. What I’d actually like is an editing job, but they have proved elusive. Like literally my only Marketable Skill is I know where the commas go, why can’t I just sit in a room and have people hand me things that are Incorrect and let me fix them?

2. What was your favourite comfort object as a child?

Probably some sort of stuffed toy, idk. I don’t really remember most of my childhood, plus I’ve always been inside my head a lot. Whatever it was, I inevitably lost it.

3. Ideal cup of tea?

Black, one-two sugars depending on cup size.

4. How’s your day going?

So far mainly full of anxiety with a small amount of Useful Shit Done. I feel a bit better now I’ve had a shower, but I have no confidence in this state of affairs continuing.

5. What was the last album you listened to all the way through?

al’s been playing Grace Petrie’s new album on repeat, it’s quite good.

6. Hoodies: zip or pullover?

I’ve never owned a pullover hoodie. Hmm.

7. What TV show should I watch?

If you are prepared to be Sad then definitely Mr Robot. If not, Brooklyn Nine Nine.

8. Do you have curtains or blinds in your bedroom? What do they look like?

Haha, it’s literally been years and we still haven’t got proper curtains. There’s like an old maroon curtain that doesn’t fit properly hanging in front of the window, but it never really does its job effectively.

9. Old timey musicals or new musicals? Support your answer with examples.

Old timey musicals are operas, and I have trouble understanding them, so new ones. I went to see Eugene Onegin once and there were a lot of haystacks. Also they’ve made a Fun Home musical recently, what a time to be alive!

my cat Jack is a squeaky toy with one ginger leg. she doesn’t much like being picked up but will headbutt anything and everyone, and swiftly charms all houseguests. she likes to drink out of tall mugs and glasses, or give it a red hot go anyway. one time my housemates dropped her in butter chicken. she recently decided to pee in my room but was considerate enough to get into a plastic bag first.

7. Five facts about your house.

it is an old-ass house with a bathroom that I’m pretty sure used to be outdoors. al’s grandma bought it like twenty or thirty years ago when al’s uncle was going through a bad mental health decade and she wanted him living somewhere stable but not with her, which is why we can afford the rent (not that we aren’t splitting it between five people anyway, because ha ha sydney housing prices ha). all the pots and pans hang from a weird rack that looks like a ladder attached to the ceiling by chains. everything needs regrouting. there is a cute little window nook for putting plants in i guess but we do not in any way do that because there is now a television in front of it, but i did at least yank out the old dead plants finally this year.
