A tentative shot of our lady wearing a Victoria’s Secret racerback bra. The beautifully decorated back unfortunately fails to elaborate on the nature of the front. For preference a plain decolletage attracts fewer unwanted glances, allowing ones wobbly bits their own space. If someone should shoot a glance at our decorated back we are, somehow, less objectified. Irrational? Possibly.

Feminism

We’ve had a few questions about how we square our feminist principles with running a blog that publishes pictures of scantily clad ladies on a regular basis. It’s a good question. Our core belief is we strive not to objectify. One can hold an image to be desirable but one must always remember that fine lingerie comes from the labour of others. Remember also that the photographer is rarely a glamorous playboy but rather a member of the gig economy, increasingly possessed of XX chromosomes. And most importantly, the elegant lady centre stage is a human being with hopes, ambitions, fears and insecurities just like the rest of us.

Gave Mr. Top Hat (one of my city’s local homeless) some food today and talked to him for a bit. I felt pretty good and then some ass hole riding in a car with some other ass hole honked their horn and objectified me at the cross walk 2 blocks down....ugh >.> thanks for ruining my day PIGS!
