Welcome to January 2021! To all my family and friends that are regular blood donors Anthony needs your help. I am waiting for more details but he’s up at CHOP in Philadelphia. He receives platelets and blood transfusions on a regular basis. I am attaching moms post. If you can PLEASE DONATE blood or platelets or both ASAP!! Unfortunately I can’t donate directly to Anthony. This is because if he gets into remission after this trial we’d be moving on to a bone marrow transplant and I’d be his half match donor. This means he can’t have my blood products because it may cause issues with the transplant and his leukemia would recognize it and not do it’s job correctly!! Anthony needs platelets twice a week and blood like every other week. Anthony’s currently needing platelets & a blood transfusion which we are waiting on and hopefully he can get by tomorrow. 🩸🩸 You can donate blood products directly to Anthony if you’d like. I donated platelets for the first time on Sunday! They expire in 72 hours, and frequently go to cancer patients. I’m glad I could give back to cancer patients since I’ve lost so many people to cancer and have friends currently fighting it. It was 2.5 hours and a little strange, but I’m glad I tried it and got to experience it.
