POV
POV — something that’s already happened, retold from another character’s perspective
[[Distortion, because I can’t for the life of me remember how much of Duality story stuff I actually posted, and the blog is full of ref stuff, too. Just makes it a little difficult to find anything, since I stupidly didn’t tag half of the story.]]
R1: Zea’s POV
Hpmph.
It always felt like forever, being inside the pokeball, but this time felt different. Worse somehow. He couldn’t even hear the muffled chatter of his trainer anymore. Just some kind of odd, soft ‘thwap’ type noise over and over with shifting rhythms. Almost like something was tapping the walls of the pokeball with a feather duster.
Finally, a different voice could be made out, questioning. Then it went up in pitch and volume. Scolding?
Zea sighed, floating in the vaguely pleasant void. He’d heard that some pokemon’s spaces were a little more substantial, even having a ground and sky to look at. Or nice soft places to lay and nap.
For whatever reason, his was always shifting and hazy beyond measure.
... When will he release me? Rick said I’d get to fight in the first battle, ‘cuz it was vs the perfume lady. She has poisoners, and I can’t be poisoned. And if she uses her fairy, I’ll have an easy win.... What is he doing?
Minor frustration built, but Zea just yawned. If Rick had got distracted or turned around in finding his opponent, it really couldn’t be helped.
Might as well take a quick nap. If he was really needed, Zea would wake up and fight, and not a moment sooner.
That’d show Rick.
