anyways i like to imagine Donny and Angel cooking together, they both theoretically are creative, capable of following instructions, and appreciate good food, however in practice, Angel doesn't like cooking and Donny loves it a little too much (everything is on fire)
and i do even more like to imagine how much they would love going out together and trying different foods

I try really really hard not to tag other people's posts with dongel. Or bring it up except on posts that I started. I know I sometimes fail that but I do try really really hard
anyway. I think Angel isn't super accustomed to having people talk gently and sweetly to her a ton, and would be absolutely enamored with Donny's voice

thinking about Angel trying to impress Donny. No matter what kind of date they go on he always knows a ton of background information, from a combo of research being how he expresses his feelings and knowing about places/activities/people ahead of time has been a huge survival tactic throughout his life, as well as his general obsession with knowing things
anyway I'm thinking about her trying to research a topic he's recently brought up, because she wants to make him feel special, and also a bit of her pride, y'know? like he always knows so much about whatever gets brought up, she wants to be able to keep up with the conversation
And then when she knows a lot about it the next time he's like 'ah okay I found a topic she likes' and does a ton of research on it so he can ask questions and support her hobbies the way she always supports his
So they accidentally trick each other into a field of study that is new to both of them
I thought Angel was 13 I guess 14 makes sense. If it she hadn’t been recruited I don’t think her and her boyfriend Donny would have met. Yeah you got me lowkey shipping them still I will never forget
oh I mean the show never says her age, she could be anywhere 12-15. I assumed she was fourteen mainly for two reasons: 1) it makes more sense for the dragons to recruit high schoolers than middle schoolers, they do want people who are physically strong and able to leave the house at night, and 2) she definitely seems to be younger than the turtles, and since high school starts at 14 and the turtles are 15, that just made the most sense
She also becomes an adult at the same time as them based on the wedding finale, but again that could be a two or even three year gap. One year gap just made the most sense. I've thought about this a normal amount (also for my own purposes she had to be old enough to go away to college around the time they were getting yoinked by the Ninja Tribunal, the show never addresses how much them disappearing mysteriously all the time affects their friends like Angel and Leatherhead and the Professor and well April and Casey usually at least get a little bit of 'hey we were worried')
Ohh I have also thought a normal amount about her recruitment being the way they met. Maybe they eventually would have since they are both really close with Casey. Then again, her intro ep seems to be a solidifying moment in her friendship with Casey as well. But then again again, if she'd never gotten mixed up with the PDs, maybe there wouldn't have been that distance with the people who care about her. I also headcanon Casey and Ryan as being good friends, they are close in age and if grandma trusts Casey it just makes sense, so possibly Casey would have gone to the turtles when he was in trouble, and since there is no way Angel would be staying behind if her brother's friend said he thought he might know somebody who could help after the police wouldn't, they could have met then
But that's all hypothetical, the way things worked out the Purple Dragons are the reason they met, and there's probably some angst fuel on both sides there but honestly I mostly find it hilarious
