Spoiler Alert for It's Such a Beautiful Day by @donhertzfeldt [CONTENT WARNING: Lots of flashing lights (sorry), depictions of self harm, mental illness, disturbing or unnerving imagery, psychosis, mortality] Film: "It's Such a Beautiful Day" by Don Hertzfeldt Music: "Life Letters" by @nevergetusedtopeople Side Note: This song inspires ideas of malfunctioning systems and glitching A.I., but it also made me think of organic systems, and a failing body or mind. This movie was a solid fit, in my opinion.
Fun fact! I actually got to meet the creator of this movie when he premiered his short film "Me" at the SF Alamo Drafthouse. It was really nifty, and I learned that he also knew the guy behind the interactive museum exhibit "Mountain" and the game "Everything", which was cool! I kind of expected him to be more insane or bizarre, but he was generally just a really nifty dude and I had a great time with my sisters! (Gift Edit)
