Hi, I saw your reply to a question on Lily Evans type. Personally, I think she's an ENFP. She was a popular girl in J.K's words and was considered charming, most likely an extravert, She's all about values and strong principles. She resists peer pressure but she never loses sight of where she stands. Why do you think she's an xNFJ?
Like I said, I'm just going on what little I know about her, and the first thing I usually try to do is suss out judging or perceiving, it narrows it down.
ENFJs can be very charming as well, and quite principled - it's things like this that makes it hard to discern types, because types have things in common, but they manifest in different ways. Since we haven't exactly seen her in action properly, one can't ever be certain.
The confusion also comes with the fact that Ni+Fe can look like Fi, and Ne+Fi can look like Fe. It's all about how it manifests, the variables.
The reason I believed her to use Fe was because of what little I know about her, she seems friendly, but strict, knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it, seems to know people almost intuitively - she never disliked Remus so much as Sirius and James, and that was because they were, let's face it, dicks. She took a liking to Severus despite what everyone else thought, and only told them they couldn't be friends because he was changing, whether he or anyone else knew it or not (because from childhood memories, Severus started to change due to his involvement with "the wrong crowd", and his opposition to his bullies, James and Sirius).
These are all indicators of Ni's... let's call it a 'homing device'. It's a compass, it works in a 'narrowing-down' method, opposed to Ne's 'broadening-the-horizon' method.
But as I said, there's too little information about her - and frankly, we only see one side of her, rather than all (like with lead or frequent characters), so it could be I'm wrong, could be I'm right.
