harvey was never supposed to be with donna it wasn’t fate it wasn’t Written In The Story until he walked down the aisle with donna at mikes wedding.

the prophecy changed!

i was wrong… this whole time i’ve been thinking that harvey and donna are Soulmates (which i usually hate, the idea of being Fated to fall in love with someone seems creepy to me i want to Chose who i fall in love with), but i thought donna and harvey were Meant To Be it was written from the beginning because in the pilot the very beginning of The Story he jokingly asks her to marry him.

but it’s not that! “the prophecy” was that harvey was meant to be alone. he thought he found “lightening in a bottle” with mike but mike fell in love with rachel instead, and harvey thought maybe it could be scottie (when they tried to be together for real in s3) and then he tried it with paula, thinking desperately maybe someday he’ll find someone, he doesn’t want money he just wants someone who wants his company, but they all leave him. they all end up rejecting him in some way, the prophecy is that he is supposed to be alone

but it changes at mikes wedding . (because in some small way he lets go of mike, he lets go of the fantasy of being with mike or that mike loves him) but he walks down the aisle with DONNA while the voiceover of mikes vows is saying hes always wanted to marry rachel… that was the “spell” shall i say that released harvey from the prophecy it changed he is allowed to be happy now!!! and the episode ends with him dancing with donna hes allowed to be happy now and she LOVES him ON PURPOSE
