New: Donovan Blanc:: Hungry A Long Time

Donovan Blanc hail from New Jersey but I’m sensing some damaged Los Angeles vibes here. “Hungry A Long Time” is taken from their self-titled LP and sounds eerily like a certain A. Pink. Maybe, it’s just me, but I think Donovan Blanc’s sound is somewhat derivative. Check it out for yourself as I could be wrong but that’s not necessarily the case.

Donovan Blanc is the project of New Jersey duo Joseph Black and Raymond Schwab who are readying a new album for the summer. 'Hungry A Long Time' is the official single and wonderfully re-contextualizes a sound from generations past into a contemporary environment. Their vocals gently drift over whimsical synths and guitars, providing a mellow and inviting tune for all. Their self titled album, which also includes previously released 'Minha Menina', comes out June 24th via Captured Tracks (pre-order available below).

（聞いてみると北欧系だと確信できるのになぜか、）アメリカ、ニュージャージー州のポップデュオ（ Joseph Black, Raymond Schwab による）。ローファイ・メランコリックで、しかもネオアコースティック。・・・のワリに彼らのジャケ写はいつでも女装がコンセプト。理解することがなかなか難しい。つまり「変態」なんだろう、こいつら。
