Guys, im gonna give you hope please trust me. Im not saying everything will be perfect after that shit, however im just saying that maybe, it will be good.

Mike and Will (mainly Mike) Being Sidelined

Negative Mass: negative mass is a type of exotic matter which is completely opposite to the positive matter which makes up everything we understand and that exists. This is important because of what is going on with exotic matter- it holds together the upside down. (Coincidentally, just like will holds the UD together)

Negative mass pushes positive mass away gravitationally.

If M1 is negative, gravity pushes (away) instead of pulling. Positive mass moves away from negative mass, but negative mass moves toward positive mass. Negative Mass is a metaphor for Will because it pushes positive mass away gravitationally. Will is pushing everyone away.

This obvious imagery shows that WILL is the bridge. They are wrong. WILL holds the UD together. Exotic matter, to the ga and to the characters, holds together the UD. EXOTIC MATTER IS A METAPHOR FOR WILL.

The reason why Will has been so sidelined since season 3 is because he is pushing everyone away. He is self-sabotaging, in a way which affects the AUDIENCE.

This brings me to my point that Will's coming out scene to everyone was a form of self sabotage. I believe this because of the obvious - all of the people (and im ngl also bad writing😢), and the fact that he did this OUT OF FEAR. Which also brings me to:

The Cyrano Trope

Cyrano is a character from the famous 1897 french play "Playing Cyrano". Cyrano is in love with Roxane. But he believes that she will never love him back (sound familiar?), but he still ends up confessing his love through a love letter (remember the painting.) However, right as Cyrano is about to muster up the courage, Roxane explains that she is in love with a Christian man, who she fell in love with AT FIRST SIGHT (familiar?). Because of this, Cyrano decides to help her because she wants the Christian man to be intellectual enough for her. So, he gives his love letter to Roxane, as if it came from the Christian man. Cyrano is an extremely insecure character who believes that Roxane will never love him back. "Playing Cyrano" refers to, lets say, Will using his own feelings disguised as el's to make Mike happy. Wanna know what this plot ends with? Roxane finding out about Cyrano's feelings, and being more in love with him than the Christian man.

Obviously the writing in vol 2 is very unclear and lowk sucks💔 but just bear with me, because Mike knows about Will's feelings for him now. Everything about the painting will click for him and the painting must be brought up again. The painting is Chekhov's gun. It will be a plot twist. Will's powers were not the biggest plot twist, people have been theorizing since season 1.

So, it is going like this:

Step 1: Give the audience hope for byler. Season 4 and season 5 vol 1. Even the ga is rooting for it.

Step 2: SMASH these hopes. Unexpectedly, the hopes are suddenly gone, and Mike and Will barely interact, both of them, especially Mike, the Roxane, are sidelined.

Step 3: The plot twist. While the audience has lost all hope for byler, the unexpected happens. It has to happen. (It would make sense for Netflix to not want any byler hope during volume two to keep viewership also, as fucking sad as that is) Roxane (Mike) finds out Will was "playing Cyrano" for El.

The duffers talk about twists and say how the best twists are the ones that are right there, "how did i not see that? It was right in front of me this whole time. "

The reason why Mike is STILL so sidelined, is because of this plot twist, and because it has been PLANNED to be made canon in the finale.

The Finale is KEY (if they do it right)

I feel a bit stupid for thinking it will be canon in episode seven. We KNEW this would happen. It makes SO MUCH SENSE. The crushing of the hopes just as everyone expects byler, the fake "mike doesn't like him back". Its a Will They Wont They. It has always been treated as a plot twist. It has always been the finale. Dawson's Creek supports this. Other ships the writers LOVE support this. It will happen. Keeping hope for six days won't kill you. If it's bad, ao3 is always there for us.

Another thing I want to point out:

Something is Clearly Off with Will

Someone pointed out how Will's outfit does not make sense for him. It is orange? It's like it's not his own at all. It's not like anything he would actually wear, its almost like he is wearing vecna's colors.

Also, when El was talking to Will in the bath and she woke up to find him, he was already awake AND it's like he had no idea that she was in his mind. It's almost like that's NOT Will. I fully believe that Will has been hijacked by vecna or possessed with the way he has been acting after he got into Henry's head. Will is a part of the hivemind when he's close enough to it. Remember season two. What if Will is stuck? Will would not come out to that many people unless something is really, really, wrong. It's not right. He wears an outfit not normal for him at all then all the sudden he has lost hope WHEN THE OTHER DAY HE WAS ASKING ABOUT SIGNALS?

And i believe this was also a missed opportunity to make Mike super worried for Will, because he ALWAYS notices, he always does.

DON'T LET THEM GASLIGHT YOU. STOP LETTING THEM TREAT YOU LIKE THIS TOO. IM DISAPPOINTED, BUT IT WILL STILL HAPPEN AND I BELIEVE. YOURE ALLOWED TO BE DISAPPOINTED BUT STILL BE HAPPY THAT BYLER WILL BE CANON. DONT LET THEM GASLIGHT YOU!!!!!!
