Don't Melt (4:19 PM)
The young blonde took a deep breath of the summer air, there was nothing like King's Landing and he was happy to be back there. Maris had scolded him for his open grin the second that they were out or that drab little hole that was Winterfell. What was the point of Winterfell? It was just a disgusting little hovel in the north. It served no logical purpose other then to fan the egos of the Joseph family. But House Calloway and House Joseph had ties. Jonathan and Marian were good friends according to his sister, Jonathan had very nearly wed Marian's wife's late sister. That was intercepted by the mad king himself, a mad king who Lyle slaughtered himself. Unlike House Joseph and Winterfell, he had a reason to be proud of himself and his position in life. Marian had fought in the war, but he was a high born, one who couldn't stomach the blood. He remembered one soldier fondly, a swordsmen he was eager to catch up with, Edgar Michellson. Now he was a man deserving of honor. His armor shone in the sunlight of King's Landing, the white cloak matching neatly with his platinum hair. He looked as if he belonged here, back in Winterfell he matched the snow that came in drifts. Such a ridiculous and dreary place. "Take my horse to the stables, boy," He commanded one of the stable hands in a authoritative voice, the child was quick to react to his demand taking the reins of his strong stallion and leading the beast of a horse out to the stables. Now that, that was taken care of he was free to retire to his bedchambers, to relax from the long ride, at least until he heard a familiar cough behind him. Looking more like she fancied herself to be an angel then a queen his sister held a hand out to him, silently commanding help from her mare in the most regal of ways. She was far from regal, he could still recall the wild little blonde that darted around Casterly Rock with him. The same girl that wept when she was told that she would be married off to Jonathan Calloway, that she would be made queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
With a hand in hers, and a hand on her waist he made a show of gallantly helping his sibling, bringing smiles to a few of those around them. The golden pair of Carlisles that blessed King's Landing with their grace and beauty, at least that was how they were perceived "Since when can you not dismount from a horse, dear sister?" He chuckled as her all but golden horse was taken wordlessly by an awe struck stablehand, a young boy of thirteen with deep skin. "I can dismount from a horse with no trouble, darling brother, I simply had to speak with you. Take care of the little gem of Winterfell. The little dove is far from home and needs tending, she will be your bride after all," His sister spoke calmly, eyes lit up with a dark sort of laughter, taking care of waifs from Winterfell was not at the top of his to do list, but he knew what his sister would say if he attempted to reject the idea. She had known the girl as a child, when Jonathan would drag her to Winterfell early in their marriage while Lyle was away at war. She had grown so fond of the girl. "I will cater to her as if I were her lady in waiting, your grace," He groused knowing full well that the tone of voice would be accepted and looked over, with a gentle nod from his sibling he bowed and took his leave wandering along the trail of horses, she would have been on her own with her new ladies in waiting. His twin had done an impossibly good job in terms of picking her out of the Joseph rough, out of Winterfell. She would find a nice home here and Lyle was sure of that, he was the queen's twin brother, the kingslayer, there wasn't much that Lyle couldn't have in King's Landing, and he wanted her happiness. She was truly beautiful, in Maris' words a gem, the only gem that Winterfell had in it's filthy little grasp was now in King's Landing. A direwolf stood alongside her horse, it was miniature at best, probably a pup. Smiling slightly at the beast, he was no northerner but he could appreciate the fact that she had the beast of her house as a pet, much like his sister's own lion. It felt like a win if you asked him, simply peering up at her, it felt like winning a war. Holding his hands out to help the slight beauty down, Alaizabel, he believed. He had yet to truly speak to her, but it wasn't as if they'd be wed in a fortnight. "If I may help you, Lady Alaizabel," He offered, a charming grin lighting up his features easily. Having a beautiful woman at his side would be refreshing compared to the wars that he had seen, something that he looked forward to.
Sucks for all you fuckers who are going to Warped today.
And I thought Thursday was fucking hot.. Damn.
