tbh what I hate the most about this site is how everyone looks at like,, a character written PURPOSELY as a villain and romanticizes the SHIT out of them.

like everyone ships Tate and Violet from AHS, but choose to ignore the fact that Tate r*ped her mother and shot up a school

And everyone ships the Phantom and Christine from PotO but somehow forget when he basically stalked her and threatened and murdered multiple people

and lest we forget how many people ship Rey and Kylo from Star Wars but seem to disregard the fact that he tried to murder her and her friends and tortured her (that scene was actually a r*pe metaphor but I guess that gets forgotten too)

and FOR SOME REASON a helluva lot of people ship Frollo and Esmeralda from HoND but never bring up the fact that he attempted to r*pe her, is a LOT older than her (depending on the version), and wanted a genocide on an entire race

TL;DR: Tumblr’s obsession with shipping trashy white male characters with women that they essentially prey on is honestly putrid
