@dontaskconman Well, my follow up question is if you want to try these matcha cakes I got. How adventurous are you feelin'?
🐾
Send me 🐾 and my muse will admit what animal they think yours was in a past life
She snorts softly, which could easily be interpreted as unpleasant thoughts, however what she had to say was contradictory to that in fact.
❝Sorry, Conrad! Thankfully, I’m not gonna disappoint you with a cliche answer! But if you were an animal in your past life, you’d be a pine marten! They are animals that are resourceful, persistent, and witty, at least that’s how people perceive them to be! Oh boy! Now I have to rid myself the image of you scurrying up trees, carrying off poor baby birds and squirrels in your mouth.❞
dontaskconman:
Okay, SHIT. Conrad had agreed to tag along, just to SEE how Mo always ended up in those kinds of crazy adventures, but he hadn’t expected… well, not THIS!
Between the horde of small THINGS behind them that he can only assume will eat them up like piranhas, and the massive chunk of Nothing ahead, and ALL THAT WATER BELOW, Conrad finds himself as prepared as he’d always been in the face of sudden danger: Not at all.
At least his vocal chords still work just fine, if not a little more hoarse and rushed than usual.
“I-CAN-SWIM-BUTMAYBEISHOULDTELLYOU–”
And they’re off. By the time Conrad’s brain registers the fall, he’s already encased by the saltiest of waters and struggling to get back up, whatever direction that may be. There is water in his mouth from when he was trying to scream. There’s a buzzing in his head as he’s already feeling the draining effects of his wet surroundings. And ow. OW, that impact was anything but smooth.
Eventually, he makes it back to the surface, but for good measure he keeps flailing frantically. He spits out the water so he can TALK.
“GYUH– Ro. Roxanne?? Where are– what the fuck WAS THAT?!”
Oh god, he’s not doing well. Sure, he can swim. But more than anything he’s fighting to not fall into a sort of vampire stasis. Not that he’ll let that stop him from cussing and panicking his little, unbeating heart out.
They plummet towards the inky depths of the water below with little to no splash, assuming that Conrad knew the proper procedure of diving into the water from such a height. The cold came like a vicious slap in the face, leaving her stunned for a few seconds before she resurfaces. She sputters out a mouthful of saltwater, and squints up at the edge of the plateau they just leapt off of. The angry horde of gremlins jostled about restlessly, angrily hissing and howling over their lost prey.
A loud splash brings her attention to Conrad, whom she just yanked down into the water with her. She gives him an apologetic look, which was strained with the effort of keeping herself afloat in the choppy waves.
❝Sorry about that Conrad! Shit like this wasn’t supposed to happen!❞
She shakes away the damp locks of hair falling into her eyes, and spits out more ocean water. She glances up at the dissipating horde that chased them, slowly they recede from the edges of the plateau. Now they were the least of their problems, especially when they are floating in the ocean where only the worst can happen.
❝Gremlins. A mean bunch. They like to go after people for the hell of it. You okay?❞

Get to know my character
12. Is there some particular talent, skill, or attribute that they simply could not give up?
When it comes to music, that’s the only thing that Roxanne will never give up. When she has a lot of time on her hands, she can be seen playing her guitar, piano, and drums. She also sings and still constantly practices because she still clings onto the vestiges of what she used to have. Music helps her cope with everything she endures.
14. Do they live alone or with family? How do they feel about their family/roommates?
She still lives with her family, in which she loves with all her heart. If anything else, the bond she has with them are the strongest of all. Through pain and joy, they are always there for each other. They all know that each of their lives aren’t going to be any easier, so Roxanne has more than one person to lean on.
15. Is there a certain person in this world that they cannot stand? The very mention of this person’s name makes them tremble with anger or fear.
Roxanne isn’t one to absolutely hate somebody, she would dislike or despise these people. However, there is one and he is currently rotting within the deep confines of the SLEA’s prison ward. Should somebody bring his name up, Roxanne’s face would visibly darken along with her eyes. You can see the animosity that burns from within, and as well as unease. After all, she’s the one who destroyed him in both body and soul.
23. What is your character like when it comes to school? What subjects are they good/bad at? Do they get in trouble a lot or are well behaved?
Roxanne was and still is a diligent student in all her classes, she’s not a genius but she has the work ethic to make up for it as well as the fact that she is a pretty fast learner. When she attended high school, she mostly excelled in subjects leaning towards the arts, but she wasn’t too bad at science and math. Currently, with her education with the SLEA, she is leaning towards the social science aspect of the supernatural world, and she finds herself being interested in learning more about cryptozoology. She aims to become an ambassador or have some sort of position in international relations within the supernatural world.
As for her behaviour, she has been praised for being a mature student and she has an agreeable personality. Although, there were times when she put instructors/professors/teachers on the spot when it came to questionable or objectionable information or opinions from them. She wouldn’t get in trouble but it’s more that she’ll receive passive-aggressive responses that carry a tone that says “Shut up you aren’t supposed to question me!” To which, Roxanne often gives her famous “really now?” expression with her brows raised and her lips being pulled into a smirk.
49. What is something that your character has nightmares about? Are these frequent? Do they heavily affect your character’s mood?
Roxanne will always have nightmares pertaining to the nature of her work, considering the violence she encounters almost on a daily basis. She’ll relive memories of her ancestors, and recent ones. Especially, the day when she witnessed the murder of her captain at the hands of a traitor. As well as, her insecurities and fears come to life, presenting visceral visions of her loved ones dying or them turning on her. But she would never let them come to light for the sake of not worrying others. Although, she would be less talkative and a little bit evasive.
"Hold on a second, you're being serious right now?"

The two stood there teetering over the edge of a plateau, and below them is the only ticket way out. Already, Roxanne is running “calculations” in her head, weighing the options, the chances of their survival, and the trajectory of their soon-to-be fall. All the while, a swarm very angry gremlins converge on them, oozing onto the outcrop like spilled ink on an immaculate, tiled floor. Roiling underneath, the ocean water seemed less hospitable but it could be better than being punted around by these gremlins.
❝Uh… yeah! I am! You can swim? Great! We’re jumping in three, two…❞
She doesn’t even complete her countdown as already, she is yanking Conrad down with her as she leaps into the water.
dontaskconman replied to your post:Hypothetical scenario: The Invisible Man is...
Well, if I’ve learned one thing from this, it’s that, should I ever be literally-invisible, I’m not coming in for treatment.
Oh, ya don’t have to be invisible. I’d cover ya in glitter any day.
Hypothetical scenario: The Invisible Man is brought in to get his appendix removed.
Well that’s easy, I jus’ get out my invisible scalpel.
Although that kinda raises some questions; are ‘is INSIDES invisible too? ‘Er issit jus’…. invisible on th’ outside. Either way he’d have FORM so couldn’t ya jus’ dust ‘im lightly wi’ somethin’ an’ boom, there ya go?
Cover that bitch in glitter.
Serves ‘im right, fuckin’ invisible asshole.

3. If you could jump back through time to save a loved one’s life, would you? Despite what it might to do the timeline? To everyone else? Do you believe it is their fate to die regardless?
…The only human I’ve really loved and lost was my mother. Despite my strength, despite how fast I can run and despite all of the lives I could destroy and threaten to try and attempt to save her-
I can’t cure Parkinson’s.
This is my reality.
13. Could you sacrifice yourself for the good of everyone else?
Depends on who “everyone else” is. But, yes. I’ve sacrificed and put my own life in jeopardy in exchange for the safety of another’s. Someone important. If there is a circumstance that someone important to me is in danger and I can use my abilities to protect them-
I will protect them.
16. Have you ever contemplated killing someone? Who and why? Would you ever act on it? Are you frightened you might?
…Yeah, I have. I’ve contemplated killing a lot of people. A lot of strangers, a lot of people who assaulted me, but a man’s gotta eat and a man’s gotta defend himself, y’know, from NOT dying permanently, perhaps?
My attempts to actually murder people is entirely on circumstance. A lot of people I have to leave alone for simply the fact their death isn’t really worth the trouble.
…Yeah, that’s all.
