"What would you have me call you then, dear heart? Fire-haired woman?" Though Loki's tone was light, teasing - his question was completely genuine.

"I'm not leaving until you tell me why I shouldn't stay. Until you look me right in the eyes and make me believe that you don't still love me."

the slight blush that dusted her cheeks did not go unnoticed, even if the trickster hadn't commented on it. green hues flickered down to her lips momentarily — almost a dare — as she leaned in. the polite brush of lips against his cheek was a suitable compromise, he supposed, chuckling ever-so-slightly at the absurdity of the situation.
❝ well, it's quite the tale... ❞ loki hummed, one hand coming up to brush against her arm as the other gestured to the nearby sofa — half inviting, and half guiding, her to take a seat with him. ❝ ... and, from what I've heard, it has gotten twisted a little in your mortal retellings over the years, as most things do. ❞ he still remembers hearing about his so-called 'monster children', and tale about the horse — he'd simply had to roll his eyes at that one.
❝ so, would you like the long or the short version? ❞
@dontcallmepepper asked: ❛ we’re gonna survive this, right ? ❜
“Probably not, but if you feel the need to pray to a god, you have one close at hand...” he said this ever-so graciously, while his fingers worked at the control mechanism of the door trapping them within, “who is trying to concentrate, so please... if you’re going to ask a question, do try to have it be a useful one.“

The snow piled gently outside of the cabin, a least a foot on the ground was untouched and unspoiled. It was a near perfect view, Loki observed as he crossed by a window near the stairs. Pure white outside, and yet a mass of green and red, silver and gold on the inside of the cabin. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the contrast. They had really gone all out this year with the décor, understanding more of his lover’s affection for the midgardian holiday each time he celebrated with her.
The difference this year was that the twins were old enough to help, and as he walked he spied their handiwork anywhere it could fit among his wife’s. When he made it down towards the den, the woman on his mind was there with the massive tree he had brought home that morning and music playing in the background. It was still mostly bare, but that was quickly being remedied. Loki made his approach as silent as possible, and when he was close he pulled a sprig of mistletoe from his pocket to hold above her head.
Gin snuck into the room, and behind Justin, grinning devilishly before she quickly put her hand around his throat, but her fingers were light as feathers. "Guess who..." She grinned against his ear, standing up on her toes.
“Hopefully the love of my life because if it’s not...this is going to be very strange...” He teased, raising an eyebrow, keeping his head forward, as his attention was on something else at the moment. “What are you doing?”

“What would you say if I told you we’ve got a haunted missile silo?”
