Kingdom hearts 3 on Nintendo Switch. Can it happen and should it happen?
I recently bought a Nintendo Switch and it's great. Breath of the Wild mostly. An amazing hybrid good at home and on the go. But the question remains... is there a place for titles such as Kingdom Hearts or even Final Fantasy? As I started up the Switch it was great but I noticed that when there was a great number of enemies onscreen (talking about Zelda- the only good first party game available) the frame rate dropped, parachute wouldn't deploy properly, link would keep walking ECT. This might not be a problem for people who only play games on easy but if Kingdom Hearts was on the switch it would cause problems for dodge rolling. So as awesome as having a portable Kingdom Hearts 3 would be, does square enix have the experience of designing a switch game, a system that's brand new, yet be able to make it stand up to the ps4 pro and Scorpio (or as my friends call it the Morpheus haha). There's also the problem of console limitations. I once owned a ps4 (standard not pro) and there were never any frame drops or anything. I think the better question is whether or not you can develop an a class game on a switch. Only time will tell. The one thing I'm telling people... hang on to your console. The switch is really just an overpowered handheld and probably won't do for the hardcore gamer. I consider kingdom hearts a hardcore game and I'm not even sure if the switch could run Kingdom Hearts 2.8
