Okay, so my fae require a lot of physical contact, like it is literally a basic need, similar to eating and breathing, except on a mental level. If they don't get what they need or receive an insufficient amount, they will go into withdrawal and then decline (re: go insane). This is called being touch-starved. This is also called an excellent excuse to capture one. The later stages may or may not be reversible :')

🐱 - What are the animals like? Pets? Local fauna?

Well, you see... uh, I mentioned cats once? In the second book? And there are various mentions of some trees with pretty leaves. 😅
