One of my best tools as a writer is Pinterest. One of the things that keeps adding projects to my never-ending craft list is Pinterest. One of the things that sucks my time is Pinterest. A few memories with my fave psychiatrist

I'm moving to a new state which means I have to find a new psychiatrist and therapist. I've been through many therapists but only 2 psychiatrists. My current one is great and its gonna be hard to leave.

Him: hows it going ?

Me: I'm in a psychiatrists office, how do you think its going?

Him: living the dream

Him: is there anything I can do for you?

Me: adopt me?

Him: man I cant even imagine what it's like to have your parents, I'll miss you, but I think it's a good that you're moving away from them.

People often ask me why I am so active in helping others and what I get out of it. I get more than words can explain. Honestly, it is because I know what it is like to not have hope or faith in others. I have been used, cheated on, left to take care of others for 25 years- blood, sweat, tears, multiple jobs, struggled to get through school, struggled to provide, identity stolen to the point of $20k in legal fees for years, single mom with no child support for most of the time, abused, almost died, almost killed, had 15 surgeries, been laid off, cancer 2x, loved, lost, hurt and brought to my knees more times then I could count. Very few have and ever will hear my stories, because through it all I have had more blessings than struggles and I prefer to focus on the positive. I have seen angels among us, I have felt love, I have been made damn strong, successful, well off, highly educated and clearly have amazing and beautiful people in my life. Why am I giving a little glimpse into my life now? Well because it is Christmas and a time to be a little kinder, to be more Christlike, to show more love, to give more than just money, to be a little more vulnerable and to show more compassion. No one will ever understand what another person is going through in life and don’t pretend that you do. We all face different demons and have our own struggles. Be kind and most of all love unconditionally. I want to share just one message from a family many of you helped with this holiday season.
