Just wanted to pop in and say your Durge is BEAUTIFUL and I am looking RESPECTFULLY! ❤️ Did you ever make a post of what mods/cosmetics you use for her? 🥰

oh gosh THANK YOU !! I feel like she has a slightly more unconventional beauty and that's something I really love about her so it's always nice to hear I'm not alone haha

And I do! Aside from clothing/armor, she actually doesn't use a lot of mods! The full post can be found [here] but to sum it up:

Abs/Muscles > ABSolutely by Nzx

Body tattoos > Rogue Tattoo by dungeonsnsouls

Hair styles > Mostly vanilla, but she also uses a few from Tav's Hair Salon by Toarie and Myky's Hairstyles by myky

Bangs > Bangs Bangs Everywhere by Padme4000 (though this is entirely optional)

Hair color > Darker Black Hair by eleanorroos (though you can manage this with vanilla)

Bonus: highly recommend NoiraFayn's Piercing Physics improvements mod so the vanilla earrings move with gravity <3

Other than those, though, her appearance is all vanilla/base game options! I made her when the game was first released and I'm so obsessed with her that her appearance has changed very very little. The only things I've changed were the addition of muscles and tattoos, which I would have added back then if I could have. Those options just weren't available to me back then xD (unless I wanted to make her really tall lol)

it was very fun to write and im so so soooo excited to tie up this little section with gortash's pov <3 i cant wait to emotionally destroy this man

🐇 ⇢ do you prefer writing original characters, reader inserts, or a mix of both? 

both!!! i really enjoy the looseness that comes with reader inserts (my favourite x reader fic i've written has to be my arthur morgan series, artistic endeavours. it's still a wip but its what got me properly back into writing last year. close second is my gale x reader fic gaze upon the stars !!)

writing original character stuff has always really been either for dnd characters or just for myself and its only really with my durgetash fic let sleeping dogs lie that i started putting original character stuff out there for people to read!

it really depends on my mood! sometimes i want to project and draw with arthur morgan, other times i want to project onto rue and gortash and both are great!

during one of the slower days they had together, gortash brought a wide range of imported fruits for rue to try after he finds out she doesn't really eat much outside of whatever is prepared for her at the temple. her favourites were mandarins, pomegranate and honeydew melons. he makes an effort to provide her with a small bowl of fruit whenever she drops by just to sit and read in the same room as him

been thinking a lot about how grateful i am for my friends! i never feel weird or embarrassed around them and i love that they indulge me in my silly thoughts (and i hope i do the same with them!)

i love my friends a lot and i cant wait to see them all again and hang out! (literally just got off of a dnd call but i already miss them!)

Hey tealeaf 🥰 How far along are you in your Durge playthrough?

heyhey!!!

all i have left to do is the cazador fight (second attempt. my first attempt made astarion leave the party and im still bitter about that), the stuff to do with ansur, kill gortash & then the big absolute fight!

i'm on the tail end of it, i just... keep putting off actually finishing it (instead i just log on, take pretty pictures, make rue and gale kiss and then quit the game)

part of me is waiting to see if larian ever put back the gortash lines that were added with patch 6 because i want to witness them ;-; the other part of me is saying "hey, you have 300 hours in this game and havent completed one playthrough. sort that out"

part of me wants to go back & side with gortash but i did the iron throne right before i went into the house of hope and right now im not looking forward to redoing that fight (ive done it twice, technically. the second time was letting my brother have a go at it) (but also... i want pretty pictures...)

😄 - How can you tell when they're really happy? What sorts of things make them happy? How often do they smile?

her tail wags when she's happy!! like a little dog! pre-tadpole she only really smiled around those she properly trusted, post tadpole she's a lot more smiley & happy despite the urge to do horrible things

she likes when people are nice to her and treat her like an individual, not as an attachment to bhaal. she's probably happiest around gortash if i'm being completely honest.

😳 - How easily are they embarrassed/flustered? What sorts of things catch them off-guard and make them lose their cool?

actual compliments get her good. especially when they come out of the blue and she's not fishing for them. she also loves looking at people she cares about and being caught doing that can make her get very flustered.

🤲 - Do they have any deep desires that they don't talk about and/or don't even realise they have? Do these desires conflict with their main goal at all?

at the core of it all, rue wants normalcy. she finds that in the temple and then when she reunites with gortash her routine is thrown off and becomes something new. as time passes and she starts to question her loyalities and her faith her desire to be seen as just rue worsen. she wants a boring life with her best friend, she wants to wake up and not have to be the face of a cult thats slowly slipping from her control

i think deep down theres a part of her that wishes she ran away as a kid with enver and wonders how different things would be. she just wants to hang out with her friend

but of course she cant ever admit any of that. there's cities to rule, people to kill, elder brains to conquer. she's the chosen of bhaal, she cant forget her duties. bhaal gave her life and he can easily take it away again, after all.
