it's everyone's favorite walking gourd, Donus. i found this gargantuan beast while walking past a particularly large Rumex, which i assume is a host plant of theirs, and i can never resist the call of big curled up leaves that would be perfect for housing hidden entities. sure enough, i was immediately met with this fine example of megafauna

i don't know much about Donus here other than the fact that i find them when i least expect them, that they're incredibly patient and nonchalant for a weevil, and that they apparently like sorrel. they're also built like a brick shithouse, a quality that they seem to make very little use of

if you're in need of a wide weevil, this gourd looking thing i found on a random wall might just do the trick. i think this is something in the genus Donus, and despite its hefty physique i managed to take some photos without getting violently body slammed for my hubris
