Okie dokes, a nice page full of DaArk doodles X) The 1st six was just playing with different red pencils (again). The Prismacolor Col-Erase + the Uni Mitsubishi Arterase Color were the best two. The last one was playing around with a few colored pencils. Most of them are Col-Erase. All this to test out an electric pencil sharpener I got on Amazon. Small, portable, + rechargeable. Point wise, not bad in length. I used a smaller sharpener to get that tip super pointy for me.

Random outfit. I can tell I used a dark red fineliner to sketch. Then black, red, gold, + light blue to color. Neon yellow gel pen for highlights + BOOM! Nice icings on the cake ☺️

Oh, this crazy pencil doodle 🤣 it was after the previous post that I wanted to play with the 0.7mm H + 0.2mm HB lead pencils again. I was in the mood to make a funny face. With all my might, I was feeling the expression with my face muscles + pulled this off. It's easily the best doodle on this page, imo.

The last two I did just now were just to fill up the rest of the page. A red gel pen doodle without guidelines. A tiny DaArk pen doodle. That is all. *yawns* ooo, a nice time to be tired :)

Doodled these as I was watching the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. You which part of SpongeBob's face I like to draw the most? His cheeks :3 No matter what, I always see those as sad faces whenever he smiles. Is that ironic there? Anyways, those "sad faces" on his cheeks have stuck with me for years (specifically around middle school + with the SpongeBob pillow I kept staring at). I can never unsee it :P

Been a long day. Feeling sore + tired. In the process of packing up my things + heading to work soon. At one point, I was dozing off when I was coloring another doodle. That's not good :P Bored too. Spent a good/hefty amount of time on this one 😵‍💫 I got inspired by the 2nd pic, which is AI generated. I will write down if AI was used as a reference + then show the AI generated image alongside it. This is equivalent to when I used to save a lot of images into my PSP + drew from them for fun + practice. AI cons outweigh the pros 😖 I feel the guilty pleasure 😫 "A Lisa Frank inspired zentangle corgi" Those were words I prompted the AI to generate. I know it's not perfect. I screwed up on thr mouth/muzzle 😅 I liked how the ears turned out. It's a start :P I bet if I were to do this again with a proper reference of a cartoon corgi, it could turn out better. The colors were the best part of this doodle 😌 It's interesting to see how one side is pinker, + the other side is more of a corgi's color 🤔 The left side, I used a lighter purple color to do the patterny stuff. Then used, red, orange, yellow, light green, + light blue. On the right side, I used a darker purple for the patterny lines + then repeated the rainbow colors. I honestly like how well the yellow highlights stand out on the pinker side than the other side. Super experimental, + I may get some hate. Back in September, I was introduced to AI for our Visual Concept + Development class. People were against it + still are. *However*... I did. I did use AI to create a close representation of my OC, Trance. (I feel so guilty of using AI, a super big no-no in the art world) For those that don't know, AI imaging is an AI that creates a picture based on what the user "prompts" it to do. It uses the existing art from the internet + generates it to the words you typed in. For my example: "A pink - haired merman with a black fin, looking at a seashell" The big no-no is that it uses other artists' work. Thus, art theft. Aka people typing in words to a machine + calling themselves an "artist." A lot of the time, the AI isn't accurate. (Google "ai hands"). I *CLEARLY* didn't make thar 2nd pic at all >XP I strictly used it as a reference. I'd wish the ai could show the original images they used 😔 Pic 1: I tried to recreate the reference in 7 minutes. Pic 2: the ai image as my reference Pic 3: My face as a reference 😜 Pic 4: Drew this angle in particular in 8 minutes using my face as a reference Pic 5: Wrote down steps for myself on how to draw this particular angle. 1. Nose looks like a down arrow ⬇️ 2. Eyebrows. 3. Circles for eyes :P 4. Eye shape looks like a croissant 5. Pupils downwards 6. Eyelashes 😀 7. A line above the Eye Shape 8. Mouth/lips are close(r) to the nose. 9. Ears are (slightly?) elevated/moved upwards. 10. More of the hair is shown + hairline is also more down. Pic 6: The difference between Time and Effort + Quick and Effortless Pic 7: Time + Effort Pic 8: Quick + Effortless Pic 9: On my own So basically, references, time, + effort are the ingredients to be/get good. It's weird how I used both AI + my face as references. I did get a few ideas to make Trance have some imperfections. Like having a thin face bcuz he's struggling to find food or some scab scars on his face + arms (like me 😀). It all depends what I want to do to flesh out his character some more. My two responses of accidentally dropping + breaking my old phone last week 🙃 I was in such a sulking mood. *inserts facial recreation* It's been one week *sings the rest of the song by the Barenaked Ladies* since I got my new phone. The majority of the settings are to my liking. Just need to work on the "modes." What will complete my phone transformation is a mini mirror. Do you know how often I turn this phone over needing to use a mirror? (Reminds me of how astronauts are so used to zero g that back on earth everything they let go breaks).
