it's human nature to adore scrunkly little drawings i guess. the Doodleteis (and any other doodles you may do in the future) make pikmin noises when u throw them.....i know it in my HEART....
Turns out my little April fools prank, which was really meant to be just the shitty-ly drawn Tei sprites, has spiraled in a way i could have never seen coming and gotten completely out of my hand-
Honestly I'm struggling to try and explain what's even going on here so I'll save that doozy for under the cut cuz it's a lot. For the upper part just know her sprites have been added to my masterfolder too because why the fuck not-
As some of you might know, my friend @review-anon always reblogs my spritedrops with a little skit in her blog since she will use the sprites and characters there later down the line and for the April fools sprites it was no different. Given the nature of the post the skit was a goofy joke where Ikeda and Ruka were farming the doodleteis for the cast of Tadc, all fun and good laughts.
So after that, in the discord we're all in, i mentioned how the way she showed the doodleteis reminded me of the gloinks from the first/pilot episode. From that another person asked if the doodleteis are the gloinks then who is the gloink queen, to which a friend said Tei in a dress and i added maid dress and then this;
And from that i completely lost it and spend the following two hours bringing this thing to life in base sprite form and then spend the following days making sprites and fucking around with this dumbass joke character concept.
Since the gist of it is that she is the reverse of Tei Atsushi then there's no more fitting name fo her than Iet Ihsusta! And this logic is what we applied to come up with more details of her character.
So while Tei is thisdown to earth, somewhat violent guy that's a kinda of a doormat and constantly tired from all his jobs, Ihsusta is Ogura levels of out there, always smug-ish and full of energy who refuses to be bossed around by anyone and uses words (and the doodleteis) over her fists, she has never struggled financially and has only worked in a maid cafe where she'd really get into character and have a fun time messing with people. (It's also worth nothing that her speech patther is both pompous and also very informal, with slangs and swearing being present, Ihsusta also speaks in hyperbole most of the time)
oposing to Tei i'd say she also had a good relationship with her family, but given all of Ihsusta's backstory that's tied to existing in the world of tetro is not exactly real (Think like how in Tadc episode two Gummigoo had memories of his town and mother even tho neither actually existed and was just the backstory Caine wrote for his character) and she knows this, that doesn't matter all that much.
Because Ihsusta is not a human, she is some.. Thing created from the mischief and chaos of the date, so you could say she exists outside of reality to an extent, maybe in the Bellows or her own little pocket dimension that she can shape into being whatever she wants. She refers to the doodleteis as her dolls and treats them as such, fun little play things she loves to mess with.
Ihsusta can spawn however many doodleteis she wants from the pocket in her appron to do whatever she puts them to, she can take other random things from it as well, just nothing edible given i don't think whatever "material" she and the doodleteis are made of are safe for consumption-
