So, imagine if Doof's mother was part of a collection of immigrants from Drusselstein. (Fun fact, this may roughly translate to 'The stone(s) of Fools. As Frankenstein means the stone(s) of Frank. Drussel may be actual a reference to Dussel, which can mean fool, idiot, or knucklehead.) the Doofenshmirtz family is a big name there. After the birth of Heinz, his mother divorced Bruce and married a different man. One from her culture. Many assume she only married and conceived with Wayne to get alimony and to use her child later to get more child support and such, seeing as her family couldn't even afford their gnomes anymore.
So part of the stories are from the Step Dad. While Bruce does other stuff.
I 100% want the favorite son story, with the dog, to be Ace the Bat Hound. Bruce even says how he views Ace as his baby and couldn't imagine not having the dog as his child. He brags about how well behaved the dog is, not realizing he's implying that Doof isn't well behaved. Despite not even doing anything.
Doof is actually a really well behaved, well mannered, child. While other children make messes or are loud, Doof just sits or stands wherever he's told to and doesn't move. It's actually one of the most obvious signs of neglect and abuse they show. It's also why Tim knows of them. Because Tim was also told to stay still and not be loud, despite being 3 when Doof was 9 years old. Maybe his own parents tell him to behave like Doof, and Tim gets a little resentful. It's also what leads Tim into technology, because of Doof does it, he has to do better at it. This leads to Tim being the only one in the Bat Family to really pay attention to Doof, but he never interacted. (Tim still can't invent like Doof. Which leads to frustration.)
Wait! What if we have Tim as the one who enters a baking soda volcano? Tim enters as Tim Drake, while Doof enters as Doofenshmirtz. The Gotham judges recognize the name Drake and hand him the first place award, over and over again, to get more publicity and money.

GOOD! I was running out of steam
1. Readers mom immigrating from Drusselstein and being from a prominent family was good for bruce
Mr bruce wayne wanted his kid to be acceptable for the rich people of gotham but didn’t really want an elite gothamite woman cuz gothamite yk
Then your mom came in they made an agreement, got married so the kid wouldnt be born out of wedlock/be a bastard (something you can flex over damien)
Then bruce went on his training arc and
Your mother was allowed to stay in the manor if she’d like but her family had already bought an estate so she’d stay there but sometimes leave you alone at the manor and come and fetch you for appearances
She met another Drusselstein man and fell in love and when bruce came back she officially sent divorce papers which bruce was more than happy to do, since it was a marriage of convenience anyway
Doof!reader moves in and the whole doof family goes thru a debt and sell their gnomes
Step dad make our reader a gnome and makes them go thru all the Drusselstein rites like the pool one
Which our reader fails at as yk and they start wearing paper bags around them and all that fun stuff that comes with being dishonored from your family
Step-dad is now associated with all the strict dad backstories while Bruce is mostly neglect and overlooking Reader
2. 100% agree with your favorite son story with ace
To also add to it since bruce spent most his time with ace and only knows how to deal with ace and since ur his first experience with a child he deadass treats u like a dog too (command wise)
Then dick comes around and he goes (“oh well fucked up with the first one a little”)
Yes doof!reader is well behaved manners have been beaten into you by your mother and step-dad
Now being part of the struggling noble house of doofenshmirtz they try their best to uphold an image and that means so do you. Even if they subject you to humiliation
Since you are part of two esteemed families (even if one isnt so esteemed and is now more infamous) Timmy boy knows of us and his own parents compare him to reader a LOT
Reader is well mannered mostly out of fear and out of this mentality i can only describe as
“I am ok because I am good!”
But yes Tim develops resentment/admiration towards reader
Anytime Reader enters a science contest Tim enters
The Drake name getting him 1st place every time
Causing Reader to also develop resentment towards tim
Yk how in almost every Batfam x neglected reader fic Damien is the only one to first pay attention to you by bullying
This time its Tim constantly trying to one up you
Its almost obsessive (WOAH HE SAID THE THING THE YANDERE THING!!!)
Tim keeps constant tabs on you and notices how bruce and the rest of the family don’t pay attention to you anf shrugs it off. Its not his job to tell them what you are up to. This is a personal project to him, hes not trying to one up you for show, this is a personal thing and he has nothing to prove to anyone besides you
