Mack Reynolds was once Bendersville's finest private eye, a book-smart enforcer of equity who could close even the toughest cases in a little less than a weekend. As the years went on, however, the mouse found less and less opportunities to sniff out crime, and would only busy himself with detective duties 'once every whenever'.
To continue putting bread on the table for his wife Nancy and his three children, Mack has since joined the city council and works alongside the mayor to attend to the usual ordinances. It's a job he enjoys, though every waking day he hopes that the case of a lifetime will surface... one only he, Maverick Reynolds, can close.
