This post is by no means an attack on the media personalities characters. I realize it's a show. @revolttv @joebudden __ I merely thought it was a perfect learning opportunity for those that are dealing with the stigma associated with herpes. This section of the show discussed events that impactes hip-hop culture (good or bad). I'm sharing my top three observations from this segment. __ 1. I was extremely happy to see that @cthagod has done his research on herpes. He stated that every 1 in 3 individuals is a carrier prior to diving into the conversation. Kudos to him!  I believe if those with influence discuss herpes openly in a similar manner it will help remove the negative stigma. @shanboody has a great YouTube video discussing herpes. Go check it out.    2. Now I realize they were simply shooting the breeze, joking around, and openly having a discussion. Just know that it doesn't matter what the person looks like. It's not okay to knowingly infect another person with herpes. Please understand that some could misunderstand the flow of the conversation and feel negatively about it because they do or do not look a certain way. 3. I cannot say this enough...! You must continue living! Do not let it stop you from living your best life. I know that some view herpes as an adult form of cooties, which is 100% false. As a carrier, I really need you to understand that it is not and if someone dances with you or comes in contact with your skin (no outbreak) that they will not contract it.
