Jyuto/Doppo +CoffeeDate 🥺🥺
“Thank you for coming, Jyuto,” Doppo started. “I know it’s kinda far from where you work, and that you’re skipping work to be here, and I really shouldn’t have asked, I’m so sorry, Jyuto.”
“Calm down,” Jyuto smiled. “I work a lot overtime so it’s no problem if I skip work once in a while. And of course I’d come.”
Doppo’s remorse seemed to disappear once he saw the way Jyuto smiled at him. It was a weird effect Jyuto had on him. It was like when he was with him he felt like a better person, which was weird, considering not many people would call Jyuto a good person, or even a good company.
“I really like this Cafe... I thought you’d appreciate it too, besides, you know, not that it matters but it’s my birthday so...”
“It matters to me. But I would have come either way. You don’t often call me to go out, so I appreciate the rare invitations,” he smiled again.
“I’m sorry. I don’t have time because of work, and we live so far apart...”
“Hey, no need to be sorry. I understand our situation isn’t ideal. I don’t blame you, Doppo.” Jyuto extended his hand to touch Doppo’s, which was on top of the table. “It’s okay.”
Before Doppo could say anything, a waitress showed up and placed two orders on the table. A lattee and a black coffee. They thanked her and she left.
“I ordered before you arrived.. I assumed you’d want coffee and, well, the coffee here is really good so I wanted you to try it, but maybe I shouldn’t have-
“Thank you, Doppo. Coffee is perfect. Besides...” he pause. His smile changed into a smirk. Another expression Doppo loved to see on him, but that always caused him to shiver. “I’m glad you just ordered me a drink, because I’d rather have you as a dessert.”
Jyuto laughed. He really enjoyed making Doppo embarrassed. His smirk got wider.
“Or perhaps you wanna have me instead? You get so wild when we’re alone, nobody would believe me if I told them.”
Doppo sipped his latte, trying to ignore Jyuto’s insinuations. It’s not like he didn’t know where they were going after their date, but having Jyuto being so bold never failed to make him nervous.
“I’m sorry, I just like to mess with you,” Jyuto said, and sipped his coffee too. “Oh, this is really good. You were right.”
“I’m glad you liked it,” Doppo smiled. “And don’t worry. I, huh, like it when you talk to me like that.”
“I can talk more if you want...” There was the smike again.
“Let’s wait for when we’re alone, okay?”
Jyuto chuckled. “Alright,” he said. “Would you like to eat anything? It’s on me today.”
“Oh, I can’t let you pay, I’m the one who invited you.”
“You’re the birthday boy. I’m paying, no discussion. You can order whatever you want.”
“Okay... I’ll have cake then.”
Doppo pouted but ordered his cake. They ate while talking about trivialities, both of them looking forward to the rest of the day that they would spend together.
