Two days. That was all that was left on the timer and Loki’s stomach was in knots. She’d sworn to herself that she wouldn’t get caught up in all the fuss. Loki was far too busy and important a woman to care about such things as a soulmate. Or at least that was what she kept telling herself hoping that she would believe it long enough for the time to pass.
Two days away felt like an eternity, and Loki ended up spending it preparing herself for that first impression. At the very least is was something to do as the time wound down. The first day was spent shopping, buy anything and everything that might have caught Loki’s fancy. An entire day wasted in stores, and trying on clothes and shoes until she found herself passed out in bed and waking up to a timer that read twenty-four hours and two minutes. Another day spent obsessing over minor things for vanity's sake.
Finally the clock ran down to those last two minutes, and Loki found herself at a restaurant grabbing a bit to eat all the while wondering how and where the meeting would happen. A drink was set next to her and stole her attention away from her thoughts long enough for her timer to run out without her even noticing. She'd been too busy staring at the beautiful brunette that was making her way over to the table with a smile on her lips that said she had a secret. That was when Loki noticed the line of zeroes against the woman's wrist, and looked to her own to find the same.
"So I guess you're the one." She greeted with a relieved smile, "I'm Loki."
