Rena Kubota vs Dora Perjes

Rizin will kick off their Women’s Super Atomweight tournament this Sunday (October 15) at Rizin World Grand Prix 2017: Opening Round - Part 2.

Star of the tournament is multiple time Shootoboxing champion Rena Kubota (4-0). She’ll open up in the quarterfinals when she faces off with Andy Nguyen (5-4).

Some really good names. Amanda Ribas (5-0) has looked great fighting in Brazil. Dora Perjes (7-1) had a solid stint at 115lbs in a very good promotion in XFC international and will be dropping to 105lbs where I think she becomes a force. Also Julia James (4-0) joins the atom weight division. Lisa Ellis (15-10) and Aline Serio (9-5) add some much needed gatekeeper talent to 105 and 115 respectively.
