The Tilney Family Album: Volume XXIII

It's high summer in Sanditon, and the weekend is here.

While her mum is out at work, energetic Dinah decides to help out in the garden.

Hmm, I think she overdid the sun exposure a bit!

With dad also working today, big sister Dora is on hand, to take charge of the little ones.

But it's also hobby day for the two oldest Tilney kids! (I'm trying to get into the habit of putting objects related to Sim kids' interests in their rooms. The Tilneys don't have a lot of spare cash for décor though.)

Home from work, Georgiana decides it's harvest time! There's certainly a plentiful crop from the orange tree, but the quality could be better - better luck next year, maybe?

The littlest Tilney - Fabian - is also ageing up today, and grandma Charlotte drops in to congratulate the birthday boy.

There he goes! And looking a lot like his uncle Bennet at the same age.

The Tilney Family Album: Volume XXII

We're back with the Tilneys today...

...where Felix is still being an exemplary big brother to Dinah.

It's Friday night, so Dora invites her good friend Estella over to hang out.

And Felix extends an invitation to his best friend Francesca...

...for a little well-received flirting.

Uncle Lucas drops in too.

Aww, Shy dancing.

Little Dinah isn't entirely sure what's going on, but she's happy for her big brother, that Francesca seems to like him a lot - after all, she thinks he's the best, so why shouldn't everyone else?

A crush is born!

Swiftly followed by a first kiss for both of them! Felix doesn't seem quite so Shy, when it comes to Francesca.

They've only just shared their first kiss, Estella, so maybe it's a little premature to be thinking of engagement just yet?

It seems it was a kiss to remember though!

The Tilney Family Album: Volume XXI

We're going to drop in with the Tilneys of Sanditon today, where there have been a lot of birthdays recently.

For a Shy Loner, Felix has a surprising number of friends. And just like all his family, he loves to dance - his chum Octavius is more than happy to join in too.

He's happy to strut his stuff at home, and amongst friends, but he draws the line at making an exhibition of himself on-stage.

The first birthday of the week is little sister Dinah's. I think she's completely adorable.

It's straight outside with a skipping rope for this Active little girl.

He shares his birthday with little Fabian, but not being an attention-seeker, he's cool with that. The breakneck speed of her youngest's ageing up seems to have had a profound effect on Georgiana's spinal alignment though.

Family dinner time. Dinah eschews her mum's roast turkey, for a burnt muffin.

What a good-looking lad!

And he still loves dancing.

It's definitely a family - and random-passer-by - trait.

I think we all know what that face means - yep, Fabian is potty training!

Even as a mum of four - with one of them only a toddler - Georgiana still manages to carve out some time for herself, getting stuck into her garden, which has been rather neglected over the winter.

It's not long before we have a second teen in the family, with Dora taking a break from her lunchtime sandwich to age up.

The Tilney Family Album: Volume XVII

Jasper and Georgiana are continuing to fill up their home, with family, friends, random Sims who follow them home from work, and babies.

Georgiana even seems to have started a book club.

There's a steady stream of grandparents to dote on the little ones.

Little Dora charms everyone, including aunt-to-be Eliza.

She also enjoys a dance, just like her granddad Henry.

Family life is such a joy that Jasper and Georgiana decide to add another baby into the mix.

Nothing soothes the discomfort of Sim pregnancy like a bubble bath.

And here she is - say hello to Dinah Tilney!

The Darcy Family Album: Volume XIII

With the kids getting older, the grown ups are once more able to snatch a bit of time to themselves. Grandma Charlotte picks up her yoga again.

And busy working parents Eliza and Lucas find opportunities for sneaky romantic moments.

Although Lewis is the next-generation scientist of the family, Isabel rather surprisingly wins the school Science Fair prize this year. But being just as much of a Perfectionist as her brother, she does always put 100% effort into everything she does, even if it's not a particular interest of hers.

John seems to come home from school with the girls every day.

On this occasion though, Agnes discovers that sitting indoors reading the paper is much more fun than getting pelted by water balloons, and eventually leaves the other two to their boisterous game!

At the weekend, it's time for a family get together, giving the cousins a chance to get to know each other better. Look at my three little nerds! Lewis, Dora and Felix.

Dinner time conversation from Knowledge/Fortune Sim Eliza: she certainly appreciates the value of money, but extending the bounds of Sim knowledge is her foremost concern, and acquisition of wealth is only important insofar as it furthers her primary aim. Her Knowledge/Fortune Sim husband Lucas is in quiet agreement, but thinks it's wisest not to dispute his fiscally-minded mother Charlotte on the matter!

Dora and Isabel get engrossed in a game of chess.

Lewis feels most comfortable with the equally shy Felix.

But eventually he's done enough 'peopling' for one day, and welcomes the opportunity to wind down with a bedtime story from grandma - about space travel, of course.

It's been a satisfying but tiring day, although Hyper Maki is still full of beans!

I always knew this day had to come, and the next morning it's time to say goodbye to cute and cuddly fluffball Sushi. The family just won't feel complete without him!

The Tilney Family Album: Volume XVI

We're spending some time with another cosy nuclear family today - Jasper and Georgiana. After waiting quite a while to have their first child together, their brood is now expanding rapidly. And despite Jasper's Rebellious streak, they couldn't be more capable or attentive parents - they're absolutely sailing through the toddler years - unlike most of my other Sims, who stumble half-starved and bleary-eyed from one nappy change to another. I'm really not sure how they're achieving it, given they have the same Watcher as everyone else! ;)

OMG - get the Angel of Death - AKA Priya Ramaswami (who came home from work with Jasper) - away from the baby!

It's all good - thankfully, babies are immune to her malign influence (unlike pregnant Sims and cats). Go, Felix, go!

He's really not judging dad for his lack of DIY skills. Not at all. (And let's just ignore the shrubbery growing through the bathroom wall, shall we.)

Despite being a Loner, he soon gets into the swing of his parents' busy social calendar.

And Felix now has a little sister - Dora!

I love his little face, and his little ears! (I might have another unashamed favourite on my hands.)

The Tilneys are all about family, and love just being together. Hopefully Georgiana's flirtation with old flame James was just a blip? Jasper certainly knows nothing about it, for the present.

Wider family are part of the circle too, with cousin Isabel being a welcome visitor after school.
