Okay well the height difference makes me psychotic, I love the idea of it raining really bad while they're on a mission so Dragon's got his hood up and holds one side of his cloak above Sabo’s head to keep him dry. Sabo purposely "forgets" his hat cuz he knows his softy boss will take care of him. Just in general Dragon is always seen wearing his cloak, so any scenario that has Dragon using it to comfort Sabo in some way. Like they're camping on the beach so Dragon takes his cloak off and uses it as a blanket for Sabo who's already asleep.

Sabo’s got this smile that can take up his whole face, and he doesn't show it a lot but when he does his nose crinkles and his left eye closes completely from the scar tissue, the left corner of his mouth is a little too crooked from the damaged skin near his cheek but it's a smile that Dragon clings to because it's not so much the sun, but the sunlight that reflects off the ocean near dusk, bright yet shadowed and a million colors that all culminate into something bloody and red, and Dragon feels his heart jerk in his chest because he wants to make a vow that no one will ever hurt this man or take away that smile that reminds him of freedom, then his heart falls to the pit of his stomach because an instant later the smile looks like plaster and Sabo’s eyes gave gone cloudy and Dragon knows he's remembering something and realizes it's too late to make a vow like that because someone's already done more than enough damage.

Yeyeyyyyyy okay so much thirsty thought was a Modern AU drasabo with night club dancer Sabo and Dragon who initially seems like just a client but he actually also runs a club that fronts as a kind of radical civil rights anarchist society thing. Like all his dancers are heavily protected from things like trafficking and are active in countering things like that, but they do it secretly so they can't be stopped by things like "LEGALITIES" 🙄

But anyway Sabo dances at a sketchy club for extra income because he refuses to accept money from Outlook, he was separated from Ace and Luffy after his accident and has been under Outlooks thumb ever since. The club he's at is the only one that will hire him because they take one look at his scars and go "no I don't think so" but the club he's at now will let him dance after hours for the REALLY shady clientele. He doesn't mind cuz they tip better anyway, and he can handle himself in a rough situation no problem.

Enter Dragon who's always wandering into random clubs to scout dancers (normally the ones he think are high risk and need some kind of protection). He takes one step into the club and his eyes fall on Sabo who's dancing and baring his scars and Dragon just "o h".
