Gordon and I will be streaming in a bit, i may be on/off mic depending on roommates and stuff, but yes!

Gordon and I played a bit off stream because he was dead tired from opening today and we tackled the Kulve Taroth Siege because what else do ya do with buds

we hit pursuit level 5, chase her to phase 3, and we both die like dominoes. Gordon’s at the end of his rope but hyped enough to keep going until we get her goddamn horns, and such, so we keep saying “one more, one more!” to try and get her to the end--we’re at pursuit level 6 now, we can do this, we keep pep talking each other as the loading screens crawl by and we restock and eat and gather our dwindling mettle again.

and there’s no way i can accurately convey the comedic timing, but Gordon’s waiting on me to eat as I’m waiting for the quest to load. We’re boosting each other up, as friends do

and then, mid-sentence, mid-friendship pep talk boost,

like

two seconds

two seconds before my quest fully loads

gordon’s character leaves and i get a pop-up saying “Left the quest”

wheezing. laughing, squeaking, hot painful tears are leaking out of my eyes because we just spent so long propping each other up because this was gonna be the one we were gonna do it this time

and he just leaves

WITHOUT ME

by the time the quest loads for me i can’t see because i’m laugh-crying so hard. i mean we got it, we fucking got it--he got all the cool kill screens--

...but nothing boosts confidence like IMMEDIATELY FAILING AT THE START OF A QUEST
