you showed up just in the nick of time. [ jackson @ dorit! c: ]
you came back for me / @altrxisme
it's not often that dorit leaves the ship — she's usually there to watch it, as a sort of home base for any injuries she's able to take care of as a basic medic. but she had heard crying, had found a small child separated from her parents, and she couldn't just leave her there. so she spent the better part of twenty minutes looking to reunite child and parents, holding the toddler in comfort while she walked the war-torn streets.
but she finally did find the parents, and she makes it back to the ship just in time — everyone else grouped back up in the meantime and they were about to go searching for her. she explains the situation to everyone, apologizes for not answering on comms (she continues to forget to turn it on).
it's jackson that, though, that makes a small joke about it, and it loosens the tension in dorit's shoulders. "yeah, knew you guys would send out a team for me," dorit jokes, settling into one of the seats onboard. "i didn't mean to worry everyone."
