There is only one thing I truly despise about "anime only" people,
And it's the fact that they're often so fucking annoying to try to explain things to.
I commented on a tiktok about "girl characters who get mistaken for guys" or something, which included Dororo, from Dororo(2019), and I replied "dororo mentioned... but at the price of a trans character getting missgendered" and soooo many fkn people were like "uhh, no she's not." "That's a nice headcanon, but she's not." And so on. And only ONE person backed me on the fact in the manga & 1969 version, Dororo *is* a trans character. Canonically.
Like.. this isn't the first time I've seen this fucking argument happen in the Dororo fandom, back when I watched the 2019 version, I looked online to see some information on the show, and saw a bunch of "she's a girl" "no, he's a trans guy." "No. She's a girl." Arguments online... it's so annoying...
I just really hate when uninformed people speak about things they're uninformed about with all the confidence that they're right. How do you not have self doubt?? I literally went and googled the character to be sure I wasn't fucking insane that he is, in fact, a trans guy, and that I wasn't about to uselessly missgender someone.
