“Tommyyyyyy do you happen to know any single, queer women that would understand my hours?”
Tommy looked up to see Lucy leaning against his helicopter, looking at him pleadingly.
“Evan probably does. Hen added him to a group chat of out first responders. I could ask?”
He makes a winded noise when he finds himself being hugged tightly, Lucy telling him that he’s the best and how she’s so tired of people thinking her job is too much.
A few days later, Tommy comes in with a number on a piece of paper, handing it to Lucy.
“Her name is Lena Bosko, she’s with the 136. She likes fighting and she loves cats. Oh, and she’s a lesbian.”
Lucy stares at him, taking the number slowly.
“You actually got me a girl’s number?”
Tommy shrugs, looking awkward.
“You convinced me to go to that second date with Evan. I figured I owed you. According to Eddie, Lena is sweet, if a bit blunt. The two of you will work.”
