“You’re far too nosy for your own good.” (as if dottore has any right to comment)
He knows the pot isn’t calling the kettle black now is he? He has to raise an eyebrow at the doctor who seems to be heavily engrossed in examining the Balladeer’s left arm, which was yanked off mere moments ago for easier means to inspect it rather than having it attached on Scaramouche and move about to examine it thoroughly. Perhaps such a thing is grotesque to many, but for Scaramouche these things are commonplace, in fact things he should expect especially when something that seems to be worthy enough of attention comes to pass. This experimentation table he sits upon under the many lights in the Doctor’s experimentation chamber is one he’s gotten far too familiar with now. Hell, he’d even go as far as to say he can point out where all of the Doctor’s little tools were located as well. “Need I remind you just what it is you are doing to stimulate that disgusting brain of yours. That is my arm, I have more than enough reason to ask what the big deal is and how long it will take.” (Stupid old man). He glares at Dottore, who’s back is facing him, since he’s far too preoccupied studying Scaramouche’s limb. It isn’t so much that Scaramouche gives a shit as much as he is bored, most of the time he just has to sit there and wait which only makes him restless, it makes him impatient because though he is all too familiar with this chamber now... he never did like it. It brought forth a certain feeling that made him feel atrociously disgusting, but beggars can’t be choosers, especially not him.
Scaramouche fails to see what the big deal is or perhaps it really isn’t a big deal at all. Whilst in a routine expedition into the abyss he got injured by one of those stupid rift dogs, the hound digging its fangs into his left arm and infecting him with corrosion. Needless to say but Scaramouche’s ire and annoyance was beyond the lines. Corrosion does not affect him, or at least that’s what he thought at the time of the bite. He’s been bit many times before and not once did he recall anything happening, but this time around was different... of course this time around had to be different. The part of his arm where he had been bit changed in shade, a purple and black color, almost like the flesh there was rotting away. He did not feel anything that’s for sure. If it wasn’t for Pierro, who he had been reporting to, he wouldn’t be here with Dottore right now. By the time he got here the, quote-unquote, infected area, had become much smaller, nothing but little specks of what smudge it originally was. Even Scaramouche has to say that reaction of his is quite curious, he’s never seen or experienced himself do such a thing before. His educated guess is that he absorbed the corrosion which is a different reaction to not having any sort of reaction or being affected by it at all.
Eventually, finally, he comes to find that his educated guess wasn’t too far off. His body really did absorb the corrosion and since he’s but a mere puppet such a thing does not affect him. “Curious,” Scaramouche says finally taking his arm back and putting it back where it belongs. He knew it was no matter of concern, but it was a curious thing, a new thing that he can now apparently do. It probably has to do with all the fiddling that gets done to his body, must have been something new that got added to his utility perhaps it seems like not even Dottore was aware he could do that.
Wanting to make certain that his limb is on correctly, Scaramouche clenches and unclenches his fist, the motion and action working as it should and feeling as it should be feeling. “Took you long enough, I guessed that much.” He claims, unimpressed, but he knows Dottore well enough at this point. Guesses aren’t enough, not for someone like him anyway. He and Dottore do not run into each other like they used to, fortunate for the both of them probably, but Scaramouche is sure that much hasn’t changed. Why, the last time Dottore finally got his breakthrough with his Segments thanks to the experimentations conducted on the Balladeer. “Can I go now?” There’s no point in wasting each other’s time if this is all, Scaramouche isn’t exactly ecstatic to see him again.
