What unemployed artists do on Monday mornings.
I managed to do some detail on my latest project. Working on a face that's upside down is a little weird, so I hope it pays off 😅
This is just a fun design that I am working on. I wanted to create a princess drawing, so this is my first attempt at one. The dress is based on a Ellie Saab creation, and the hair just felt simple and royal. I seem to be obsessed with turkey tail mushrooms at the moment, so I'm using them to create an art nouveau style crown. It's still a work in progress, so let's see how it goes 😅
The dotwork for the body and face is done. Now I have to finish the hair and draw in the Turkey Tail mushrooms in the background. Calling any Kristen Stewart fans out there. Does this look like her?
As I am planning (hoping) to enter the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year competition for 2018, I am practicing for my submission pieces. This is the style that I want to do for my self portrait and the portrait of my brother. This will allow me to experiment with the dotwork style, and to create an interesting background as well. What do you guys think? With this style, do you think I have a chance in hell? 😅
