I picked up Minecraft Dungeons too, and it’s really fun! It’s a Diablo clone with a Minecraft coat of paint, but it has its own ideas that keep it fresh.
There are no classes in this game, instead, your gear determines your playstyle, so equipping a Sword gives you a standard 3-hit combo, whereas an Axe is slower but more powerful. You also have access to Bows, Long Bows or a Crossbow. Gear is randomised so you can have two of the same pieces of equipment but they till likely have different stats and attributes. Every time you level up you gain Enchantment Points, and gear will have a number of Enchantments to choose from, and those will be different between equipment, too.
I’m currently having a blast with my loadout. My bow has a 30% chance of firing 5 arrows, with each having a 10% change of emitting a poison cloud. The bow also has homing, as well as a piercing attribute, so I can send out potentially 5 arrows, each homing in and hitting multiple targets, and again, potentially emitting poison with each hit.
Early on you unlock a firework that you can attach to an arrow which explodes on contact. The 5-arrow-attribute means if I’m lucky, it’ll send out 5 fireworks instead of just one. This is just one loadout of potentially thousands, if not millions. It’s a dungeon crawler so levels are randomly generated too, so repeated visits to older locations can provide a fresh experience.
Some people have speedrun the game and beat the main story in around 4 hours which might put some people off, but this genre isn’t about the story, it’s about the random item drops which keeps you constantly growing stronger on repeat playthroughs. I’d highly recommend it! Diablo 3 is a great dungeon crawler but if you’re looking for something a little more lighthearted, you could do a lot worse.

Multiple elements can be found freely in the environment of Pixeljunk Shooter, but by and large when it comes to interactions with the players and the survivors, these elements act fairly similarly. Because water is so commonly deployed by the player to solve puzzles or make magma inert, it does not hurt the players or the survivors (in fact, it can even cool down the players if they start to overheat). However, this similarity is also there with magma, and thus most of the game’s puzzles follow a simple but highly engaging formula: magma bad, water good, get the survivors without killing them.
