Still can't believe my parents paid real actual money to a dentist to give me an overbite when I was a child, and sure, their solution to their comically textbook-presenting autistic child's autism was to physically abuse her but I do actually consider the teeth thing to be the worst thing they did, because correcting it costs as much as a house and I, for one, will not be paying a (surgeon-)dentist real actual money to do things to me that would have been too extreme for the Toybox Killer to handle.

I had double jaw surgery yesterday. Like, a maxillary rotation and advancement with a mandible advancement.

I knew what to expect, but I was still unprepared for just how much the post-op sucks. I am not okay lol.

i hate this surgery its literally only 11am and im exhausted from eating breakfast and moving rooms and napping???????

Favourite milkshake: Haagan Daz strawberry shortcake ice cream, Strawberry protien powder, with fresh strawberrys, cream and milk mmm

Or Coconut ice cream with milk and honey. So simple but so good

Favourite protien powder: Huel, Salted caramel meal replacement (also banging with vanilla ice cream blended in for extra calories or just for a yummy treat mmm)

Favourite soup : broccoli & Stilton or butternutsquash

Favourite smoothie: Greek Yogurt, honey, pineapple juice (good for swelling), mango and banana

Favourite yogurt: M&S lemon and lime or cherry Yogurt mmm all of them are amazing though 🤌

Favourite icecream: Haagan Daz - every flavour 😂 all so very cooling on my face too, when eaten... not using them as a mask or anything 🤣

Officially on month 8 of a year long recovery ✨ I had a severe underbite that caused really bad TMJ issues, as well as nasal, bite, and speech issues. I wasn’t able to talk, laugh, or chew food for too long without having some type of pain in my jaw. I also had to avoid a lot of foods that also caused jaw pain when I ate them. It was also a big insecurity of mine to have such a long, protruding jaw that didn’t fit my face. Day 1 feels like forever ago. It was a struggle but it really was worth the ride because not only do I feel better physically but emotionally as well. Though this procedure was medical and not cosmetic, it fixed one of my biggest issues and insecurities and my confidence couldn’t be better. After over 10 years of waiting and saving up for this I’m glad it’s officially done and almost over. It definitely hasn’t been easy but I’m glad I made it this far 🥹🥰💖

My face still looks very weird to me and I’m trying to remember that I am still very swollen

If you ever have surgery that renders you unable to chew food and leads you to buy non-solid stuff like smoothies, ingredients for self-made smoothies, yogurts etc., make sure you don’t live with a capricious, much younger sibling (13 in my case) who plainly refuses to grasp the concept that you HAVE to rely on these things and has it out for your stuff despite being perfectly capable of eating normally and living in a household that can and DOES actually cook well.

I am losing weight (which isn’t good for me), am perpetually hungry, my face feels weird, and now I gotta deal with this.

I’ll explode.
