Officially on month 8 of a year long recovery ✨ I had a severe underbite that caused really bad TMJ issues, as well as nasal, bite, and speech issues. I wasn’t able to talk, laugh, or chew food for too long without having some type of pain in my jaw. I also had to avoid a lot of foods that also caused jaw pain when I ate them. It was also a big insecurity of mine to have such a long, protruding jaw that didn’t fit my face. Day 1 feels like forever ago. It was a struggle but it really was worth the ride because not only do I feel better physically but emotionally as well. Though this procedure was medical and not cosmetic, it fixed one of my biggest issues and insecurities and my confidence couldn’t be better. After over 10 years of waiting and saving up for this I’m glad it’s officially done and almost over. It definitely hasn’t been easy but I’m glad I made it this far 🥹🥰💖

Twinkie Update: Twinkie is home and recovering in her padded crate away from the other kitties so she doesn't jump and try to run and play. She's high on pain meds and sleeping a lot, but also has a very healthy appetite. My sister was super sweet and got her a @suitical surgical suit since she's houdini and likes to get out of her cone within a couple of minutes of having it on. I'd definitely use them again! I'll have her biopsy results early next week, so please keep her in your thoughts, prayers, good vibes, etc for no cancer. Please. Special thanks to all the fans and friends that have reached out to ask about her. It amazes me how many step up to show how much they care in one's time of need, when those closest that you think would and should, literally walk away. So thanks to all for the love and for showing your colours. In other news, I did a free trail at a gym through December. I started to feel scared walking in the dark in the city, so it was a really nice feeling to be able to workout in a safe place. I signed up 2 days ago.. and our province just locked us down again today and gyms are closed 🙄. Great. I was so excited to be back at it.

3 weeks post op and my tape is almost done peeling off my nipples are healing great . I had a moment where there is this clear string hanging under my arm but I figure it’s the stitching being I did not have drains but it closed up and it’s a small small piece sticking out my skin but I’ll ask the doc bout it this week when I go for my check up ... my chest is still numb but I can feel sometimes when I apply ointment on my nipples I can definitely feel it and my anxiety rises cause I be too much in my head but over all everything is great I’m ready to be cleared by the doctor to get in the gym ! Oh I forgot to let y’all know I can finally use my arms put on a shirt and hoodie I can even get my own food thru the drive thru now I felt like a damn T. rex lol ... I’m jus ready for the wrapping part to be over and I think I will be okey I just miss laying on my stomach ... drop some oils I should use for scarring if you guys don’t mind ! If you have any questions feel free to ask .... this platform is the only one I feel comfortable talking to bout my journey 🖤
