Okay I lied. I don’t think I’ll be on today...
Upon looking through my work for tonight I still have around 200 pages left to read, a quiz to take, and a one page response to write for one of the novels I’m reading. I’m so sorry.

I don't wanna do homework yet :((((((
cant wait to go back to school next week and hate my life because of my MWF schedule
Ugggh finished making my 4 year plan for double majoring and I’m still 14 units over max…
I thought I was quadruple booked for next Thursday night, but I’m actually quintuple booked. Because the English department decided to have their senior celebration at almost the exact same time as the Politics department, such that there’s really no way for me to attend both.
Administrative assistant: Congratulations! You've been nominated by your Department to present your thesis on [day where people informally present their theses]. Please submit an abstract by April 29.
Me: That's nice. Which thesis?
We workshopped the second section of the first chapter of my English thesis in seminar the other day. As the conversation began, one classmate commented on how different it is from other people’s—how concerned it is not just with close reading a particular text, but also on commenting on a broader cultural phenomenon. They also enjoyed what I wrote about capitalism... to all of which I responded, politics major fallacy.
The funny bit is that my politics thesis is a project on cultural politics, and in many ways my theses are written in the same genre (although this will become somewhat less true in the next chapters of my English thesis). You see, most of the reason why I am a double major as opposed to a dual major is because the departments were convinced I couldn’t write a single thesis that would tie their requirements together. But I am analyzing cultural politics in my English thesis, and I am doing close readings of fiction in my politics thesis.
i solemnly swear that i won’t watch jessica jones until i’m done with my finals.
all eleven of them.
huge sigh.
