thought i’d share my little akekita indulgent black mask yusuke au… theyre accomplices THEYRE ACCOMPLICES IN MY HEART.

quick little explanation!! i have not played persona 5 so if theres any plot holes or whatever I APOLOGIZE. i jsut want them to be gay and do crime :3

so. yusuke finds out about madarame’s scam involving the sayuri before the pt get involved. he by pure accident gets to madarame’s palace, awakens his persona (which is hakuzōsu!! i thought it fit quite nicely :3) not knowing what effects this would have irl, yusuke attacks shadow madarame in the heat of the moment and defeats him. then AKECHI ARRIVES. it was implied that the black mask visited madarame’s palace before the phantom thieves, so i can jsut… make it so that akechi as the black mask visited madarame’s palace and saw a distraught yusuke there!! more things happen after but this is a basic premise i have <33

Hey dude I rly like the Yusuke accomplice AUs concept (I am a SUCKER for accomplice AUs and Akekita), you're right on the money with the BM stuff and I am kindly asking (please please please ple) you to share whatever other thoughts you have on it I am HOOKED

at first i think there would be a slight dynamic inbalance, yusuke depending on what akechi says or does, since he helps cover up anything involving madarame. He has depended on Madarame’s guidance a lot, so i think yusuke would just. see akechi as a replacement. And akechi would kind of feed into this as he doesn’t see yusuke as someone equal at first. THEIR RELATIONSHIP LATER ON IS HEALTHIER THAN THE BEGINNING AND THEY DO DEVELOP FEELINGS FOR EACHOTHER THEY SEE EACHOTHER AS PARTNERS

I think Akechi would still be the one finishing off the various palace rulers and creating the mental shutdowns because. Yusuke was an unintended part of his identity as the Black Mask and he didn’t want to incriminate Yusuke if things ever get out. Akechi did feel pity for Yusuke - mother dying, getting used by father figure. Yusuke would mostly help Akechi with the shadows by either finishing off the unimportant ones or weakening the palace rulers

If this was - in theory - in game, I think Yusuke would still have a confidant!! This is a more so silly idea, but Akechi could use help with getting more info about the Phantom Thieves - and the opportunity was there to get Yusuke and the protag to talk, so why not? And there won’t be many continuity issues since Yusuke would design the pt logo in his confidant and all is well and silly

Also one last thought. boiler room. Yusuke fighting by Akechi’s side. But Akechi, once they lose - pushes Yusuke before he closes the door. Yusuke wanted to go down with Akechi, but Akechi believed that Yusuke still had a chance with the Phantom Thieves. Akechi already messed with Yusuke’s life by bringing him into the Black Mask stuff - at least he could do something to fix it in the end. I cannot get Yusuke clawing and crying desperately for Akechi because THEY DO HAVE FEELINGS FOR EACHOTHER/ARE DATING (whatever fits better, the unrequited love or the death of a loved one). I also think it’d be fun if they had a sort of all-out-attack move in this battle!! Not really an aoa, since that’d be too hard i think, but something similar!! And after the boiler room Yusuke could join the party :3
